Whether for machines, robots or transfer lines - Mayser Safety Mats offer maximum protection for hazardous areas of movement ror any shape of area.
Depending on requirements, there are safety mats with rubber surface topping for anti-slip protection and/or to avoid the danger of tripping - also with matching ramp rails.

An Omron STI Universal Safety Mat system (UM series safety mat combined with an MC3, MC4, or MC6) offers a simple method for guarding personnel around hazardous machines. A safety mat system offers freedom, flexibility, and reduced operator fatigue when compared with traditional guarding methods such as interlocked fences, pullback restraints or perimeter barriers. Full visibility of and access to the work area is maintained.
|
|
Larco manufactures presence-sensing mat systems used in pedestrian control, ticketing, pedestrian safety, and equipment status. Larco engineers these mat systems to customer specifications, fitting the exact shape and style for area allocated.
Examples include:
- Passenger control including ticketing and flow diversion
- Hazard avoidance on platforms and tramways
- Operator or driver notification of passengers in limited or
restricted access areas
- Data collection (passenger counting) input to central
monitoring system used in matching peak passenger usage
and vehicle allocations to optimize traffic flow for ground
transportation systems (bus, train, and subway).

Pull-wire emergency stop switches are mounted on machines and sections of plants which cannot be protected by guards. In contrast to mushroom head Emergency Stop push buttons, on pull-wire switches the Emergency Stop command can be initiated from any point on the wire.
In combination with one of the AES and AZR range safety monitoring modules, see chapter 10.3, ZS range pull-wire emergency stop switches can be used for Control Category 3 or 4 to EN 954-1.
Design and mode of operation:
All of the pull-wire emergency stop switches conform to European Standard EN 418. They have a positive linkage between the NC contacts and the wire rope. The pull-wire emergency stop switches are brought into the operational condition by pre-tensioning the wire, i.e. the NC contacts are then closed and the NO contacts open.
Schmersal make both standard and AS-i Safety at Work pull-wire emergency stop switches.

RESET DEVICE W3
Pizzato Elettrica has developed an innovative reset device code W3 to make perfectly simultaneous the actuator and the contact block tripping. The new device is a block inserted between the switch body and the head, and could be rotated independently from this last one. This new device has following advantages:
- The reset device integrate in any standard actuation head
- Contact blocks with snap action are no more necessary because the tripping movement is made by the reset device itself
- Unlike some previous versions, the reset device can be rotated independently from the head for the maximum flexibility during the assembling.
The new switches series integrates the wide range of products that Pizzato Elettrica can offer to its customers.

The Protector is ATI Industrial Automation’s patented collision sensor designed to prevent costly damage to robotic end-effectors resulting from robot crashes. The Protector’s features include: automatic reset, high repeatability, large moment rotation, rugged design and low cost.
The automatic reset feature particularly benefits workplace safety. After the robot crashes, the Protector will automatically reset when the robot removes the tooling from the crash-causing object and when torsional rotation does not exceed 20-25 degrees.
Compliant in the X, Y and Z axes, this capability provides a safer method for resetting by making it unnecessary for personnel to enter the robotic work cell.

Pizzato Elettrica has designed and patented new accessories to install the rope of safety switches faster and to obtain an aesthetically more pleasant system.
The new accessories, in comparison with the traditional fixing system through carpentry material, have the following advantages:
%u2022 The installation is faster because only one screw is used for the fastening of every rope extremity, and the parts are prepared to ease the installation. Some practical tests have pointed out that the installation time is halved, reason for which it is named FAST.
%u2022 The system is aesthetically pleasant, because thread parts (which sometimes tear operators%u2019 dresses) and the rope extremities, usually fixed by heat-shrinkable sheath or adhesive tape, have been hidden.
%u2022 The red plastic covers of the fixing parts have been developed also for the function of controlling the rope clamping. If the rope fastening screw is not fixed tightly enough, the cover cannot pass.
%u2022 The rope is fixed without folds, thus reducing the rope stabilisation time and the possible re-calibrations of the rope tightening.
Furthermore two sturdy pulleys has been introduced in applications where the rope is very long in order to support the rope length or to bend its route. They are designed to avoid any deformation and to allow the rope to remain in its seat also when it is energetically activated.

Door interlock switches are attached to the door of equipment where it is necessary to turn power on or off when the door is closed or opened. This type of control is used in applications where maintenance and testing must be performed inside a cabinet.
Interlock switches are supplied with one 1PDT snap action switch or two 1PDT miniature snap action switches.
The snap action switches are mounted in a frame and a single actuator, which is spring loaded, operates the switch.
When mounted in a door, the closing of the door forces the actuator against the spring thereby closing the switch.
When the door is open, the actuator springs out thereby opening the power circuit. The interlock switch has a service position, which allows service personnel to turn power on even when the cabinet door is open. When the door is closed, the switch automatically resets to the normal closed position.

Optoelectronic safety device are used as entry, danger point or danger zone guards.
LS 30 range safety laser scanners detect invisibly and without physical contact over an angle of 190° and are mainly utilised as hazardous zone guards. The zone to be guarded can be individually definded, i.e. to suit the particular case, by means of user-oriented software. Up to two pairs of protection and warning zones can be monitored without the need for an additional safety monitoring module. By virtue of conventional means to guard the dangerous zone is either only realisable at the cost of high outlay or even completely impracticable, such as on pipe-bending machines, industrial robots and automated guided vehicles (AGV). LS 30 safety laser scanners achieve Control Categroy 3 to EN 954-1.
