If more air is required for extra hand tools or to power a pneumatic pump to drain a trench, chose the C25 powered by the Kubota D1105 and offering 2.5 m3/min. at 7 bar g. Process-Gas Screw Compressor

The new power packs for extensive compressed air requirementsPower class: 30 – 500 kW The gear-driven plants of the GEAR series enable ALMIG to offer a new generation of screw compressors for extensive air requirements. Delivery quantities of between 3.58 and 71.15 m³/min at max. operating pressures of 8, 10 and 13 bars.
With drive outputs of 30-500 kW the plants are available in an air-cooled (30-250 kW) and a water-cooled version (30-500 kW).
The easy-to-maintain and service drive concept with a robust drive motor with generous power reserves, easy-to-maintain and service gear and novel flexible gear drives with replaceable working elements protect the drive, work with minimum slip but with high operational reliabilityand virtually without loss (efficiency >98%). The construction of the double-stage VMT-compressors is based on our proven, single-stage compressor series VM.37.
The VMT-series is designed for oil-free conveyance of air and neutral gases and has already been used since 1970 for the industrial generation of compressed air.
For the diverse industrial ranges of compressed air technology the double-stage units were steadily adapted to the changing operation requirements and modified. Experience of more than 200 supplies has developed a compressor unit, which can convert nearly all special applications of compressed-air technology according to the customers' individual requirements. Within the compressor body there are two screws with matting profile: a female and a male screw, female having concave inlets and the male with convex helical inlets. The screws rotate in opposite directions with the female screw receiving the driving power and transmitting this power to the male screw through a set of synchronization gears.
As the screws rotate, the air is drawn into the inlet port and fills up the space between the screws. This phase is the Admission. The key phase is the Compression. It starts when the end of a male thread blocks the end of a female thread. The volume available between the compressor body and these two threads then progressively decreased during rotation. When this volume merges into the delivery outlet of the compressor, the third phase takes place, hence the Exhaust.
Throughout this process, there is no contact between the screws. This means no wear, total reliability, and non-pulsating air delivery. These compressor/blowers can be used in either a Mobil or stationary application and can be driven by a PTO, electric motor, or hydraulic power system. A complete range of dedicated ancillary product is available to support this product line.
