LARGE SCREW COMPRESSORS
The DSD/ESD series is a unique range of screw compressors where during the design stage a number of innovative technical solutions were introduced involving the drive system, airend, cooling system and package sound-proofing. All models feature high quality, durable components that are logically laid out and contribute to the outstanding performance and reliability of these compressor packages. Component accessibility is optimised through wide opening doors, removable panels and a sensible design that greatly simplifies maintenance. The result is an extremely high quality compressor package.
The models in the GS-HS compressor series complete HPC's comprehensive range of screw compressors. As with all HPC Plusair compressors, these powerful belt driven units with free-air delivery capacity of up to 2797cfm are quieter than quiet, low in maintenance costs and are designed to operate at full load 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

The Cloupressor: BOGE SLF
A frequency controlled screw compressor. By changing the speed of both motor and air end the SLF can operate the air end in its specifically optimum range and adapt the compressed air output to the actual needs. Expensive idling times and motor switches are avoided. At the same time a smaller pressure band can be set, also helping to save enrgy.
Special benefit: By adjusting the air end speed by frequency regulation not only the FAD can be adjusted but also the pressure value! Usual frequency controlled screw compressors only change the FAD at a certain given maximum pressure. Lowering the pressure value did not result in a higher FAD. But with the SLF adjusting the pressure value will at the same time result in an adjustment of the maximum possible FAD! This way a 13 bar model easily can be switched to an 8 bar model including the higher volume flow of an 8 bar machine. There are no alterings or constructive changes necessary. All pressure values can be served with one machine.

Vyper Variable Speed Drive
The Frick Vyper Variable Speed Drive for screw compressors offers the refrigeration industry superb system performance, enhanced energy savings, and reduced maintenance costs.
The Vyper VSD provides fast, precise, and wide-ranging response to rapidly changing loads. The liquid-cooled, NEMA 4 rated cabinet provides protection from ammonia vapors while the Quantum™LX control panel provides a user-friendly interface for ease of operation. The drive is available in 150, 305, 435, 687 and 957HP models and can be mounted either directly on the compressor package or remotely.
The package mount method provides easy on site installation of new equipment while the remote mounting method offers an easy solution to retrofitting a constant speed drive with the Vyper VSD for energy cost savings and or enhanced performance.
Replacement with a conventional screw compressor with mechanical capacity control (slide valve) can not provide the rapid response to load fluctuations, but when the Frick screw compressor with variable Vi control is driven by the Vyper VSD, rapid response is no longer a concern.
The Vyper is capable of starting and coming up to full speed in 10 seconds. Capacity control with speed, as low as 20% (720RPM) means the slide valve should never move for capacity control. This results in virtually no wear to the slide valve. Also, since the slide valve stays loaded, economizers are always at full capacity and Vi control which fluctuates as the slide is unloaded stays Ideal through the speed range using the Vyper VSD.

Aerzen VMX-screw compressors with oil injection are designed for intake flow volumes from 70 up to 3180 m³/h at driving speeds of 50 resp. 60 Hz and an overpressure - single-stage - up to 13 bar (higher pressures or admission pressure operation upon request).
The drive is effected via V-belt resp. toothed belt or directly via a flexible coupling from the driving motor to the male rotor of the air end. Drive by electric motors or internal combustion engines. All stages are suitable for frequency converter-operation (standard).

Power class: 16-315 kWThe speed-controlled, screw compressors in the ALMIG VARIABLE series have been specially developed according to the most recent findings in research and technology. They are for use in all situations where compressed air needs vary.
Market analyses show that on average capacity utilisation of compressors is around 50 - 70%. The maximum delivery quantity is only required at peak times.
This has prompted us to develop the ALMIG SCD technology which demonstrates its greatest strength in the partial load range, i.e. exactly where it is required.

Special Feature:
By adjusting the airend speed utilising frequency regulation not only adjusts the output (FAD) but can also adjust the pressure (bar). The CLF machines can therefore operate at 8, 10 or 13 bar pressure without compromising free air delivered. To regulate a normal 13 bar compressor to 8 bar reduces the pressure but the output remains at the 13 bar design figure. The direct driven CLF, utilises frequency regulation in order to maximise FAD output whether at 8, 10 or 13 bar!

The BOGE CLF series combines a direct coupled drive system with frequency control to provide the ultimate compressor for pressure control under variable output requirements.
The CLF series operates the airend within its optimum range and by changing the speed of both motor and rotor the compressed air output adapts to the actual demand. Expensive idling times and motor switches are avoided. At the same time a tighter pressure band can be set, also helping to save energy.

The rotary screw air compressor has become the most popular source of compressed air for industrial applications. A major reason is its simple compression concept.
Air enters a sealed chamber where it is trapped between two contra-rotating rotors. As the rotors intermesh, they reduce the volume of trapped air and deliver it compressed to the proper pressure level. This simple compression concept, with continuous contact cooling, allows the rotary screw air compressor to operate with temperatures approximately one half that generated by a reciprocating compressor. This lower temperature enables the rotary screw air compressor to operate in a "fully loaded" continuous duty cycle 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, if necessary.
