| Air purifying suppliers of respirators use cartridges or canisters constructed of carbon or paper-based professional filters to remove contaminants or particles from non-IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health) environments. Air purifying respirators that rely on the user's inhalation to draw the ambient air over the filters are called negative pressure air purifying respirators. Those that utilize professional blower to pull the ambient air through the filters and then push it to the user are called positive pressure air purifying respirators. Air-purifying respirators have numerous applications from construction and automotive repair to pharmaceutical and oil production. |

The self-checking SAFYR PACKSCAN flame detectors are designed for monitoring solid or liquid fuel industrial burners (oil, pulverised coal, heavy liquid residues). They are adapted for multi-burner installations by facilitating flame discrimination.
A binary safety signal is transmitted in the presence or absence of a flame. The output signal is also available on terminals for recording or remote display purposes.
Operation of the SAFYR PACKSCAN flame detector is based on the characteristic flickering phenomena of flames, generally between 0 to 150HZ. It uses a silicium photodiode cell, adapted to the combustion frequency in the visible light band (320 to 1100nm).
A display indicates all the configured parameters, as well as the detection level.
30 years of experience in the field of flame detection gives the SAFYR PACKSCAN the following advantages :
• An ‘all in one concept’ with an integrated professional amplifier in the professional scanner head for easy installation.
• Two microprocessors for increased safety and reliability.
• Approved by APAVE to meet all safety criteria requirements
• Detection level indicator to simplify commissioning
• Various standard confi guration methods by internal switches, by remote and by serial link, to simplify configuration
• Two SPDT output switches to indicate flame presence and proper detector operation |

The Model FL3100 is an Ultraviolet / Infrared flame detector designed to detect fires and provide alarm outputs directly from the detector while maintaining false alarm immunity. It detects fires by monitoring in both the ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) spectral ranges, making it highly immune to false alarms. There is also a hydrogen-specific detector available that detects hydrogen fires.
FL3100 Series flame sensors' electronics are integral within their explosion-proof housings, allowing detector information to be processed at the point of detection. The detectors also provide a 4-20mA stepped output signal indicating detector status. The COPM (Continuous Optical Path Monitoring) self-test feature checks the optical path integrity (window cleanliness) and the detectors' electronic circuitry once every minute. |

Nitrogen fire-fighting plants are designed for extinguishing fires caused by inflammation of various flammable substances which can only burn in the presence of air, such as oil, oil products, or gas condensate, in enclosed volumes and premises, as well as for the prevention of fire and explosion hazardous situations at oil and gas producing enterprises.
The operating principle of a nitrogen fire-fighting plant is based on inert properties of the resulting air mixture with 95–99% nitrogen concentration. With this level of nitrogen concentration, burning process is rendered impossible. Gaseous nitrogen produced by membrane gas separation unit of a nitrogen fire-fighting plant is forced into a receiver which capacity is calculated based on the volumes of premises and vessels to be fire-protected by the plant.
In case of fire, nitrogen delivery into the fire-affected volume starts automatically. This ensures quick and reliable fire extinguishing without damaging equipment or injuring personnel. Furthermore, nitrogen fire-fighting plant is designed so as to allow the use of nitrogen generated for purging process vessels simultaneously with automatic replenishing of its reserves.
Nitrogen fire fighting has a number of objective advantages associated with the plant structural simplicity, serviceability, and high cost-effectiveness.
