Fast, non-intrusive measurements of gas concentrations and temperatures, performed inside of the process itself are the domain of the diode laser gas analytic. The gas analyzer LDS 6 which combines the compact and service friendly set-up, the easy operation and the network connectivity of Series 6 with the known unique performance of diode laser based in-situ gas analytics.
Fibre optics and IR diode laser technology, standard components of high quality and reliability in communications engineering, give an extremely robust analyzer concept almost free of maintenance which enables process relevant information even under very harsh environmental or process conditions. A build-in hands-off reference gas cell avoids the need for any test gases in the field. By the means of a simple analogue modem a remote control or diagnosis of the analyzers is possible (almost) anywhere and anytime.
Today, the list of gases able to be measured with NIR diode lasers contains already gases like O2, NH3, HCl, HF, H2O, CO, CO2, H2S, CH4, ... and it is continuously growing with the state of the development in semiconductor laser technology. Additionally, high gas temperatures can be determined non-intrusively with an O2 measurement. |

| BW Technologies has raised the bar for maintenance-free detection with the new GasAlertClip Extreme. Providing two years of protection from H2S, SO2, CO or O2, the water-resistant GasAlertClip Extreme has a built-in concussion-proof boot and is ideal for amphibious operations and high-moisture environments. Equipped with two alarm levels and an internal vibrator, the GasAlertClip Extreme now features four visual LEDs, and a high-output audible alarm.. The large, alphanumeric display provides instant notification of gas alarms, test status, life remaining (months then days then hours) and peak (maximum) exposures encountered. The GasAlertClip Extreme`s advanced microprocessor performs a full function self-test automatically on startup and on demand to verify sensor, circuit and battery integrity, as well as audible/visual alarm operation. Generating a permanent record of gas alarm events has never been easier. The GasAlertClip Extreme allows for effortless transmission of stored event data to a cordless printer or a PC for review and analysis. Despite being loaded with features, the GasAlertClip Extreme is compact and light, which makes it comfortable to wear. Clip it to your lapel, pocket, belt or hardhat for unequalled protection. |

The MultiRAE Plus combines a PID (Photoionization Detector) with the standard four gases of a confined space monitor (O2, LEL, and two toxic gas sensors) in one compact monitor with sampling pump. The MultiRAE Plus gets the job done in more circumstances than any other gas detector. The MultiRAE Plus is quickly and easily changed from a sophisticated technician instrument to a simple text-only monitor. The same monitor can be used as a personal monitor, a hand-held sniffer, or as a continuous operational area monitor.
The MultiRAE Plus detector can be made wireless with the use of RAELink. This allows real-time monitoring information from the detector to be integrated into an existing AreaRAE system. A wireless, RF (radio frequency) modem allows detectors to communicate and transmit readings and other information on a real-time basis with a remotely located AreaRAE base controller up to two miles away.

Our basic system ( WaSul TM -Basic-Ex ) can be used for quality control at gas transfer or sales points, where it can measure e.g. water vapor, hydrogen-sulfide, carbon-dioxide, ammonia, methane, ethane and particulate matter concentration on-line and fully automatically.
For process control applications our WaSul TM -Mppm-Ex systems, with their exceptionally wide measurement range can be used for multi-point process monitoring:
• at a dehydration unit it can measure the water vapor content of both the unprocessed and the dried natural gas;
• at a glycol re-concentration (or regeneration) unit it can measure the water or BTEX content of both the wet and the dry glycol.
• at a sweetening unit it can measure the hydrogen-sulfide (H 2 S) concentration both of the sour and the sweetened natural gas.
In the above listed applications various WaSul TM systems already proved they excellent reliability and high stability throughout several years of trouble free operation. WaSul TM systems received the approval from the Hungarian Approval Service for Ex-proof Electrical Equipment to be operated at potentially explosive areas.
The installation and operational costs for these systems are practically negligible. |

Due to rising global industrialization, the monitoring of exhaust gas is increasingly important. The monitoring of nitrogen oxides (NOx) is particularly important due to its role in the formation of ground-level ozone and acid rain.
The BÜNOx gas converter allows easy and cost effective detection of NOx components (NO and NO2).
BÜNOx converts almost 100% of the NO2 content of a sample gas to NO by means of a replaceable reactor cartridge. The resulting NO gas is measurable by any commercially available IR-analyzer.
The BÜNOx reactor cartridge, designed in cooperation with a Research Institute, enables the conversion of high NO2 concentrations at a comparatively low temperature. Interferences from other gases such as CO, CO2, NO, are generally not observed. Moreover, a lifetime of over 12 months is possible under normal conditions. This leads to reduced maintenance costs. The maintenance effort is further minimized through the special reactor fastener on the front panel allowing rapid replacement of the cartridge without tools.
The temperature of the converter is adjustable at the front panel through an easy-to-handle micro-controller.
Of course status output signals required for process control are accessible to the user.
High conversion rate at 400°C
High NO2 conversion-capability

Temperature control by micro-controller
Adjustable temperature
Temperature alarm contact
4-20 mA temperature output
Status-LEDs

For the first time, the Vaisala SPECTRACAP® Oxygen Transmitter OMT355 offers Tunable Diode Laser (TDL) technology in a compact probe suitable for field use. The SPECTRACAP® sensor measures oxygen concentration optically by measuring the absorption of light from a tunable diode laser.
The OMT355 can be flange-mounted directly into a process without sampling or sample conditioning equipment. This provides the user real time measurement data without sampling or sample switching delays. In addition, the stainless steel probe tolerates aggressive chemicals and excessive amounts of moisture.
For processes with high temperatures, elevated pressures or excessive solids content, an optional sampling cell is available for the transmitter. As the sensor is very robust and has low sensitivity to gas flow and pressure variations, the associated sampling system is simple and can be installed near the sampling point.
The OMT355 is a low-maintenance instrument. A stainless steel mesh filter protects the probe optics from dust and dirt. An optional hydrophobic, porous PTFE filter is also available.
Typical applications for the OMT355 include gas generation, inert gas blanketing, fermentation and composting process monitoring.

Description
The sensor of the flue gas probe is based on the principle of solid
electrolytes (zirconium dioxide). The free oxygen ion movement
begins at temperatures of more 500 °C (solid electrolyte potentiometric
method).
The sensor is heated. The oxygen concentration is calculated from
the cell voltage and the temperature according to Nernst's law.
The analyser consists of a probe and an evaluation unit. The probe
is directly immersed into the gas to be measured (in situ). The probe
tip should be approximately in the centre of the chimney. The
electronic system is equipped with a cable (5 m) with plug which is
plugged directly into the probe. The evaluation unit is operated by
means of the keypad and the display. The system displays the
current oxygen concentration in percent by volume (0-21 % O2 )
and the temperature of the measuring cell. |
