Construction grade control and site positioning systems utilizing GPS can use a conventional base station such as the Trimble MS750 set up within about 20 km (13 miles). A single base station can be used by any number of grade control or GPS site positioning systems at one time.
The base station is typically installed at a fixed or semi-permanent location, such as the roof of the site office. It consists of a GPS receiver, GPS antenna, radio and radio antenna.
The Trimble® MS750TM GPS receiver is designed specifically for the tough mining and construction site environment. This ruggedized, dual-frequency RTK receiver outputs corrections with the shortest delay (lowest latency). The modular design, where the radio, radio antenna, GPS receiver, and GPS antenna are separate, provides the customer with many benefits. The GPS antenna can be mounted where the GPS signal is clearest, and the radio antenna can be mounted high, giving the customer broader area coverage with their radio. It also gives the customer security, in that only their antennas are left outside the site trailer, vehicle, or vessel. The expensive GPS receiver and radio are left locked up inside. The MS750 receiver has a front panel display and keyboard, making it easy to configure and start each day, without the need for a specialist controller or software.
The Trimble Zephyr Geodetic dual frequency GPS antenna has a permanent ground plane and has "stealth" technology to reduce the reception of multiple reflected signals (multipath).
The data radio sends GPS information from the base station to the GPS receiver being used as part of a grade control system or site positioning system.

The robust Trimble LR400 receiver combined with the GL700 transmitter is designed specifically for earthmoving applications performed with larger machines like dozers, scrapers and excavators. The receiver features center on-grade for use with dozers and scrapers and an "excavator mode" for use with excavators and backhoes. Using the excavator mode, more above-grade information is displayed making it easier for the operator to lower the bucket and cut to the correct grade.
Features & Benefits:
-Large LED display arrows indicate "high" or "low" with amber lights and "on-grade" with green lights so the operator can quickly and easily move the cutting edge to a desired elevation, especially on larger machines such as excavators, dozers and scrapers, for improved productivity.
-Adjustable accuracy bandwidths and distinct modes for specific applications and equipment provide flexibility to meet the machine needs and the accuracy requirements of the job.
-Selectable "on-grade" location and accuracy indicators provide improved efficiency and allow customization of the receiver to each unique application.
-Rugged, waterproof magnesium housing withstands tough jobsite conditions.
-Powered using its own battery or using the machine's battery.
Applications:
Site prep
Building pads
Sewage and storm drains
Landfill sites

OPTODYNE'S MCV-2002 Linear and Angular Machine
Calibration Instrument calibrates CNC machine tools, CMM's
(Coordinate Measuring Machines), and other precision
measurement machines and stages. Angular, straightness and
flatness measurements can be made "onthe-fly". The unique dual
beam design provides a rapid means to measure the surface
flatness of surface plates, optical tables, machine tools, and
bearing guides.
OPTODYNE'S machine calibration instruments are based on
our proprietary and patented Laser Doppler Displacement
Meter (LDDMTM) technology. The total system is compact
providing easy, convenient storage and transporting. Easy set-up
procedures reduce overall machine calibration time, especially
where multiple axes are involved. This, coupled with a modest
initial investment, provides continual savings.
The MCV-2002 dual beam system design provides the user a
simple, easy-to-operate angular and linear capability in a single
instrument. It is like "having two interferometers in one". One
beam collects the angular data while the other beam monitors the
linear position. The user friendly software, running on a laptop
or notebook computer, collects and analyzes this data. The data
can then be displayed on screen or printed in tabular or graphic
form. |

The series FBL91 tunnel lasers are available with 2mW or <1mW power. These are both with 230Vac 50Hz powering. The <1mW version is certified under EN60825-1, Class 2.
The electronic parts are designed in order to resist tension fluctuations that
might happen in tunnels and the optical part is protected by an easy to replace 5mm thick glass.
The internal part of the instrument is designed in order to avoid the inside
formation of vapour.
The FBL91 series lasers use the Halley86 base and have the same
level and instrument centre as the Halley86 series lasers.
This is the best set-up instruments to obtain the same calculation and work for all the Vidalaser instruments. |
|
The Halley86 series lasers are the result of Vidalaser’s know-how and are especially designed to build tunnels. Nevertheless they can also be used for civil engineering works.
The Halley86 series lasers are available with 3mW and 5mW power and with115/230Vac 50Hz or 12 Vdc supply.
They are a wide range of products which are able to carry out the most specific and difficult operations that can be conceived.
These instruments are strong and resistant to thermic and electrical fluctuations and they can operate for many years without necessity of maintenance.
The Halley86 series lasers are the result of the Vidalaser experience. Vidalaser has been working directly in the tunnel instruments sector since 1975 and is able to offer to its customers assistance and consultancy services that only be offered by a producer can offer them.
The Halley86 series lasers are ideal to drive the TBM. |

The VL102 model laser is designed to be installed on a drilling machine used for strengthening in tunnels. VL102 main function is to identify the centre of the projected drilling cone of the rim to be strengthened.
This reference point, which is pre-established by the topographer according to the design data, is fundamental to carry out a strengthening work which is uniform and homogeneous and consequently more efficient.
The internal structure of VL102 is conceived in order to be able to resist the very highvibrations and mechanical shocks typical of all the drilling machines used for strengthening in tunnels.
The 12Vdc powering allows it to be installed on machines of every brand and type. |

VisionGauge® OnLine LASER profiling systems are complete hardware & software solution for fast, easy and accurate 3D measurements. These systems use fully-automated LASER profiling to carry out thickness measurements. With VisionGauge® OnLine LASER profiling measurement tools, Z-axis measurements can typically be carried out as quickly as regular (X,Y) measurements.
VisionGauge® OnLine LASER profiling systems have no a priori restrictions regarding the part geometry and they can deal with a wide range of 3D geometries.
VisionGauge® OnLine’s LASER Profiling tool is compatible with various 3D geometries.
LASER Profiling involves projecting one or multiple LASER lines at a specified angle relative to the optical centerline. You can then carry out height / depth measurements (i.e. 3D measurements) by measuring the offset of the projections on a (2D) image. |
