Viking, Saracen & Saxon layflat hoses
Viking fire hoses are chosen by fire fighting professionals throughout the world for their quality, performance and reliability. It is constructed with an all synthetic woven textile reinforcement encased in a blend of high tensile PVC/Nitrile rubber which forms a unified lining and cover. The outer ribbing provides excellent abrasion resistance. Viking fire hose is independently tested to BS 6391 :Type 3 1983 by RAPA Technologies.
Saracen fire hoses are for use where fire fighting is less frequent or intensive. Saracen offers an affordable alternative to Viking without any performance penalty. It is constructed in the same layered way to the Viking though without the heavy protective ribbing, nitrile-PVC is used which makes the hose lighter.
Saxon fire hoses are built to the highest quality, lightweight but with exceptional strength. They are used by fire brigades and industrial users worldwide. Available with a polyeurethane outer coating for extra abrasion resistance or uncoated for lightness, they are ideal as washdown hose.

Ny-Shield Tubing is black 95 Durometer Polyurethane Tubing with a flame retardant outer jacket to protect the tubing from sparks associated with welding. In addition, the outer jacket also resists oils, grease, Ultra-Violet Light, heat deterioration and many chemicals. Since the outer jacket does not stick to the inner tube, it can be easily peeled back so that push-in, compression or barbed fittings can be installed. Ny-Shield is available in a choice of black, red, yellow or blue outer jackets and can also be coiled into Precision Coils and Self-Storing Air Hoses.

FEP belongs to the category of meltable fluoroplastics. Longer production lengths and improved tolerances are possible, because of a different process being used in production. There is also a great variety of sizes available. Current diameters range from 0.20 mm to 130 mm.
FEP tubes from Saint-Gobain Isofluor distinguish themselves by their excellent ductility. In most cases the permeation coefficients 0 meltable fluoroplastics are superior to those of PTFE. The chemical resistance of FEP is only slightly inferior to that of PTFE. FEP is more transparent in contrast to the milk white PTFE material. FEP tubing is always the right choice whenever the observation of the flow of liquids in the tube is necessary. FEP is a material with a very good transmittance over a wide range of wavelengths.
The tubes can be supplied on spool and in coils or already cut to length in sections to the customers' specification.
Product Facts and Data at a Glance:
- Temperature stability from - 70 °C to +205 °C
- Low absortion of water
- Large factory lengths possible
- Available diameters ranging from 0.20 to 130 mm
- Tubes available in 10 colours from standard production
- Customized sizes - tooling costs not charged in most cases
- High transparency
- Also available in cut-to-lengths sections
- Very tight tolerances on request

Platinum-cured Versitec® Silicone tubing is designed for use in applications where flexibility, resiliency and durability are required especially when exposed to long periods of pinching, without altering its life expectancy.
Easy to fit on all types of connectors, its smooth inner surface reduces the risk of particulate entrapment and microscopic buildup during sensible fluid transfer especially in food, beverage and cosmetic industries.
Because of specific compound and extrusion process Platinum-cured Versitec® is taste and odor free ; it also meets FDA and BfR criteria.
The technical added values of Platinum-cured Versitec® make it the ideal means of transferring potable water and all kind of sensitive beverages.

The Series HL foodstuffs hose is another innovation and stands out because of its compact build. The heating element is wound onto the inner liner of the NBR hose and is thus vulcanised in the inner core. There is practically no more difference to an unheated hose either optically or in technical applications terms. The temperature sensor is also worked into the hose and captures the temperature directly at the hose wall.

Corroflon hose was the first convoluted PTFE lined hose product in the world to be developed specifically for process fluids transfer applications in pharmaceutical and chemical plants.
Corroflon was launched in 1978, and since then all of the major advances in convoluted PTFE hose design have been pioneered by Aflex Hose and incorporated into the Corroflon hose product range. These include anti-static PTFE, polypropylene braid, and EPDM or silicone rubber hose covers. Aflex Hose also developed and introduced PTFE lined and flared end fittings which protect the end fitting from contact with the process fluid, and provide clean, uninterrupted fluid flow through the end fitting.
Over the years, Corroflon hose and end fittings have been continuously developed and improved to maintain market leadership, and design features which have been identified as prime requirements have been incorporated at every stage.
These include the thickest wall and the best processed tube lining available, to prevent the development of porosity in the PTFE, which is the primary cause of premature failure in competitors’ products.
Corroflon is also fully kink resistant and vacuum resistant due to the tight helical wire reinforcement and the convoluted design profile.
The build quality and design excellence of Corroflon hose have been tested and proved in numerous applications worldwide, and hundreds of thousands of Corroflon hoses have been applied and used successfully over the last 30 years.
