Liquid Feedthroughs:
Nor-Cal's product line of liquid and liquid nitrogen feedthroughs includes the most commonly required for general, high and ultrahigh vacuum applications. Tubing is .25 and .375 inch OD, type 304 stainless steel with CF or NW flanges. They are available without professional fittings or terminated with industry standard Swagelok® or Cajon® VCR tube fittings. Maximum bakeout with CF flanges is 450°C and 204°C with NWs. Vacuum ranges are 10-11 Torr and 10-8, respectively.
Watercooled liquid feedthroughs are a cost-effective and reliable way to introduce water into a vacuum system. The .035 inch single wall tube construction is designed for the transmission of water as a cooling agent.
Liquid nitrogen feedthroughs are constructed with dual and coaxial tube geometries. This thermal barrier effectively reduces condensation and ice buildup on the atmosphere side of the feedthrough around the mounting industrial flange interface, protecting the professional seal's integrity. This is necessary because of the extreme thermal gradients encountered with liquid nitrogen.
Swagelok® stainless steel tube compression fittings provide a leakproof, torquefree vacuum seal by swaging the stainless steel tube to which they are mated. They require no gaskets.
Cajon® VCR stainless steel tube compression fittings properly handle rapid makeup in tube, pipe and welded vacuum systems. These zero clearance fittings make them the perfect installation solution when space is a problem. Compression of a removable copper gasket creates a vacuum seal between air and process sides. |

The construction of networks for conveying and evacuation waste water constitutes one of the fundamental services for ensuring the functionality of our cities, for safeguarding the public and for preserving the quality of the environment we live in. Designing the maximum safety, realizing and laying systems for conveying waste waters therefore presuppose a high level of reliability in the materials used which must guarantee the total tightness of the drainage network. The intrinsic characteristics of PVC combined with the new integrated junction system protect the ground and water table from pollution thanks to the perfect hydraulic tightness of the joint which prevents dangerous leakage of waste waters. It is of course necessary to realize sewage systems using materials which ensure fast and economical laying, efficient tightness over time, and limited deterioration with ageing, in order to guarantee an adequate life for the system and a reduced incidence of running costs and maintenance activities. Starting from the experience acquired in the production of piping in PVC for carrying fluids under pressure in which a connection system with integrated ring has already been used, Faraplan Spa decided to extend its production technology which envisages prefitting the gasket with heat during the socket-forming stage, to the range of pipes for sewers manufactured to UNI EN 1401 standards for the SN 8 KN/m2 annular rigidity class only.
