| The NanoDrop® ND-1000 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer enables highly accurate analyses of 1 ul samples with remarkable reproducibility. The patented sample retention system eliminates the need for cuvettes and capillaries which decreases the measurement cycle time. In addition, the high absorbance capability eliminates the need for most dilutions. You%u2019ll find yourself making fewer dilutions and taking more readings than ever before, essentially becoming a more quantitative laboratory. |

Varian AA280FS Atomic Absorption Spectrometer
Continuing Varian's tradition of Inspiring Excellence
The Varian AA280 series comprises two innovative, stylish and easy-to-use systems. The AA280FS flame instrument combines our world-leading Fast Sequential design with eight lamp capability, to give you greater performance and reduced running costs. The AA280Z Zeeman instrument combines Varian's fast Transverse Zeeman background correction with our new GTA120 graphite furnace for superior furnace performance and the most accurate correction, providing:
- Enhanced Fast Sequential capabilities with eight lamp capacity - enables more elements to be determined in rapid sequence from a single aspiration of each sample.
- Increased automation for optimum precision - automated burner adjustment and programmable gas control provide the most stable and reproducible flame performance, as optimum settings can be used for each
determination.
- Reduced running costs - pre-emptive sampling reduces analysis times by up to 55% compared with conventional single-element AA systems. This high productivity means reduced sample-to-sample delays, minimal sample consumption, lower gas, reagent and lamp usage, and more results every day.
- Improved sample throughput - use Smart Rinse to automatically optimize the rinse time. Smart Rinse automatically reduces rinse times for samples that don't need it and increases the rinse time for complex sample matrices, thus eliminating contamination.
- Improved data quality - innovative Fast Sequential (FS) analysis provides new capabilities for flame AA, including semi-quantitative analysis and internal standard corrections. |

novAA series - systems for all techniques
The novAA series covers up the complete range of fully automatic single element and sequential multi element analysis. The series combines unique performance with versatility, automation, reliability and flexibility.
Fast analysis, automated dilution, reliable quality monitoring, all with uncomplicated handling, are a must in Flame-AAS. The series combines the advantages of the transverse-heated graphite furnace with the advantages of deuterium back-ground correction.
Featuring a unique combination of batch and continuous flow modes, the novAA series with its varied systems can optimally match analytical assignments. Whether in the traditional quartz cell or coupled with the graphite furnace ? both modes guarantee the best possible detection limits, compliant with the most stringent statutory limits.
novAA 300
Fully automated flame system with single beam (novAA® 315) and/or double beam (novAA® 330) mode and with automatic 6-lamp turret, available as stand alone-system or with external PC
novAA 400
PC-controlled fully automated compact spectrometer for flame and graphite technique with transverse heated graphite furnace, with single and double beam mode and with automatic 6-lamp turret |

Maximum analytical performance combined with maximum operating comfort
The ZEEnit 700 is an atomic absorption spectrometer with deuterium and Zeeman background correction for the flame and graphite furnace techniques that does without the replacement of atomizers. This has been made possible by the new concept of two independent sample compartments.
No mechanical movements any more, no intricate replacement, and no alignment ? the change of the technique is not more than a mouse click in software, fast and simple. All combinations are available ? flame and graphite furnace technique, graphite and hydride technique, the convincing combination of graphite and hydride technique, the HydrEA technique, and naturally also the direct solids technique.
The transversely heated graphite furnace with all its highlights ensures maximum accuracy and operation according to the STPF concept. The third-generation Zeeman technique is unsurpassed in background correction ? the variable magnetic field combined with the three-field technique and the dynamic mode are the basis for an extended linear working range and optimum sensitivity. |

Redefining AAS
contrAA is the newest generation of flame AA spectrometer featuring highest performance and never seen dimensions in flame analysis ? never change lamps again.
The contrAA 300 atomic absorption spectrometer is the first commercially available instrument for the HR-CS AAS with impressively unique features:
- Immediately ready to measure, no lamp drift because of simultaneous double beam stability
- Simple operation and simple and rapid method development (free of interferences)
- Low running cost
- High sample throughput
- Ready to measure for each element on each line (rare elements, PO-, CS-bands)
- Real sequential multi element analysis, partly simultaneous determination of trace minor and major elements (Ni/Fe, CU/Ni, Pb/Fe)
- Improved detection limits
- Improved simultaneous background correction (spectral interferences, molecular flame structures) with CCD-Detector
The contrAA is characterized by robustness, capability of determining a wide range of elements in complex waste and waste waters with low operational costs and performance similar to competitive techniques such as the inductively coupled plasma (ICP). Thus this approach closes the gap between AAS and ICP and is a viable alternative procedure. |
