Stand Alone Touchplate Card Reader
The 26SA standalone access control unit provides an effective and inexpensive solution to access control requirements without the need for secondary controllers, software or expensive cable runs when interfaced with a CPEAPE auto gate. A "touch" of the card on the stainless steel face plate allows the 26SA to read the card and grant access to the parking facility.

SPECIFICATIONS
The 26SA card access control unit utilizes state-of the art electronics in providing a unit that is both inexpensive and fully programmable. The patented slotless reader is protected from weather and vandalism. Simply place the card on the stainless steel touch plate and the card is read instantly and without error. A green light indicates that access has been granted.

The 26SA operates from 8 to 24 volts, AC or DC, and consumes less than 200 milliamps.

Because the ENTRACOMP® 26SA has non-volatile memory, reprogramming after a power loss is a thing of the past. Validating and voiding of cards as well as other programming functions are easily accomplished from outside the housing using a few cards.

The MRMAG and MRMAGINOX readers of magnetic cards read the card information is coded onto track 2 in accordance with the ISO standards and is in CLOCK and DATA and CLS (the latter only for MRMAG) protocols.
MRMAG uses the MW30 converter, supplied with the reader, the signals are converted in the Wiegand 30 bit format compatible with all the Prastel access control units and with all the systems that accept this data format.

Magnetic particle brakes and clutches are of simple design. Due to their size they produce a high torque compared to for instance hysteresis brakes. They are having two rotors (inner and outer) and an air gap between these two rotors where the magnetic particles are dispersed in. An electric current passing through the coil creates a magnetic field, which aligns the magnetic powder into the gap. The higher the current, the more rigid the connection between the inner and outer rotor becomes. The principle is the same for brake, clutch and torque limitor.

Eddy Current clutches give torque as a function of RPM. The faster you turn the rotor, the more torque. This means by increasing or decreasing the RPM, you can get infinite torque adjustment. Typically, we rate the clutch with a gain factor (k), which is gram millimeters/rpm or Newton meters/rpm and we design the clutch to have an operating "slip rpm" between 1 and 300 rpm.

For every application determine the TORQUE, MAXIMUM RPM, and for brakes, the BENDING MOMENT.
Then you can choose the correct shaft or coupling, and various accessories.
All important internal clearances are ground to tolerances of less than .025mm (.001 in). Magnet Assemblies (purple) surround our hysteresis disc (gold). When like poles face each other, they produce maximum magnetic saturation, forcing lines of flux to travel circumferentially through the hysteresis disc. This produces Maximum torque.
When opposite poles face each other, they produce minimum saturation of the hysteresis disc. The lines of flux travel right through the hysteresis disc. Combinations of adjustment angles between these two extremes gives infinite adjustability. Because there are no contacting surfaces, the setting can be maintained indefinitely.
