Product description
With this new generation of Universal Hydraulik LKI oil-coolers, the manufacturers have succeeded in reducing the noise level. These coolers are ideally suited for stationary installations - for the cooling of hydraulic or lubricating oils. The range has been extended to include slow-running ventilators, and the housings have been optimised, in order to produce the very low noise level. In order to make the cooler range as comprehensive as possible, the smaller models are also available as single or dual versions, thus covering oil-cooling requirements for both low and high oil throughflow volumes.

When fitting an air oil cooler in your system, the cooling medium will always be free and available. Oiltech air oil coolers are designed to resist high pressures and to provide maximum cooling capacity with regard to oil viscosity and specific heat. An air oil cooler is especially suitable for outdoor applications as an air oil cooler can never ice-up.

The first choice for oil cooling in hydraulic circuits.
Your Advantage
The correct cooling solution offers a longer oil life, i.e. lower maintenance and change frequency. A constant oil temperature also means improved machine precision.

AIR-OIL HEAT EXCHANGERS -SERIES AP WITH HYDRAULIC MOTOR :
This type of exchanger has been designed for use on movable machines where battery feed is insufficient or when exchangers with direct current supply are inadequate to produce high thermic yields. The radiative unit is of aluminium because this material is a very good conductor; providing high thermic yields and relatively compact over-all dimensions. Thanks to the particular construction of the radiative unit the exchangers of the series APL cope well with water hammer conditions which, at peak values, must not exceed the minimum allowable dynamic pressure of 20 bar. The maximum allowable static pressure is of 35 bar.

Our line of Airtech Fan Cooled Heat Exchangers provides a standardized, reliable and self-contained solution for remote cooling requirements in both the Industrial and Mobile Vehicle markets. These compact, high efficiency Oil Coolers and Aftercoolers can be the perfect answer for applications where cooling requirements are remotely located, cooling water is unavailable or impractical, or where coolants may be subject to freezing.
These pre-engineered packages include an all-aluminum vacuum brazed bar & plate heat exchanger for superior durability and performance in a cost-effective, compact, light weight construction. Motors can be supplied in either 60 hertz or 50 hertz AC versions, or 12 volt DC versions. Both come complete with finger guard and shroud.
Our product range encompasses 11 different model sizes. The first 8 sizes are vertical mounts with horizontal air flow, while the three largest sizes are horizontal mounts with vertical air flow. The units come with a variety of standard options, ensuring our customer gets what they need with very short lead-times.

Lytron's ES Series aluminum oil coolers are engineered for high performance with poor heat transfer fluids such as oils and EGW. The extended surface flat tube design provides 2.5 times better performatnce than competitive units. The unique flat tube and header designs result in lower pressure drop so smaller, less expensive pumps can be used. Welded headers are pressure tested to 150 psi (10.3) bars and the fluxless, vacuum-brazed core provides strength and reliability. The Aluminum Oil Coolers are available with or without a fan plate, and with finish options of aluminum or black paint.

AIR-OIL HEAT EXCHANGERS WITH ALTERNATING CURRENT ELECTRIC FANS - SERIE AP:
Today the use of air in hydraulic equipment is more and more common.
The benefits are: No water supply required Totally independent of plummed systems Reduced running costs in comparison with the water-oil exchangers, even if initial investment is higher
Residual warm air can be used for heating
With air-oil heat exchangers the radiator unit is of aluminium for minimum conduction.

Air/Oil standard heat exchangers
The range of air/oil heat exchangers has proved to be extremely reliable for a number of different hydraulic oil cooling requirements using the air generated by electric fans, hydraulic fans or, in the industrial sector, by single-phase and three-phase electric fans. The availability of models has now been further extended in order to satisfy all requirements.
|
|
Air-Oil heat exchangers have been designed to be used on the return line of the hydraulic systems.

DIRECT CURRENT AIR-OIL HEAT EXCHANGERS:
This series of heat exchangers is particularly useful in cooling oleo-hydraulic plant on mobile machinery as it is fitted with direct current 12 or 24 V electric fans. The cooling element is in aluminium, a material of high thermal conductivity, which provides high thermal yield from relatively contained dimensions. The particular conformation of the radiant block is such that APL series heat exchangers are highly resistant to the stress produced by hammering which, however, at peak value, should not exceed the maximum dynamic pressure of 20 bar. The maximum permitted static pressure is 35 bar.
|
|
HM Serie:
Air-oil heat exchanger with tank and filter, used for the cooling of hydrostatic transmissions, especially on cement trucks and concrete machines. Power supply voltage of intake fan exclusively 24 V DC.

|
|
Water-oil heat exchangers are shell and tube type. they permit to waste the heat in hydraulic plants. They can operate on exhaust line of the main hydraulic circuit, or on a separate circuit dedicated to cooling
|
|
WATER-OIL HEAT EXCHANGERS WITH TUBE BUNDLE
They consist of small diameter smooth tubes; this allows the best compromise between high thermic yield and low pressure loss. For a good exchanger practices some oil rates are indicated in the tables. Going down to the lowest rate of flow, indicated in the tables, the low oil speed causes a great loss in yield, whereas a rate of flow which is superior to the maximum indicated, causes great pressure loss and does not considerably increase the thermal yield. The yield diagrams indicate the heat quantity each exchanger can disperse according to the difference between oil and water mean temperatures. Such diagrams assume the exchangers to be working with the maximum oil rate indicated in the table. With the minimum rate, the yield decreases by about 10%. Required water volume is a follows:
85 l/h for each kW to disperse with water temperatures (20°C)
170 l/h for each kW to disperse with higher water temperatures

Aluminium body, designed to allow maintenance without the need to disassemble the heat exchanger. Cast iron heads in the industrial version, bronze in the marine version. Fluid circulation exclusively in countercurrent.

Basco Type OP Heat Exchangers
First introduced in 1962, the Basco OP design has proven to be the preferred TEMA Type AEW shell & tube heat exchanger in the market. The "OP", or "O-Ring Protected" design features removable tube bundle, nozzle location flexibility, and a unique threaded O-ring retainer that permits removal of the reversing bonnet without disturbing the piping or draining the shellside fluid. Removal of the channel cover permits full inspection and cleaning of the tube side.
