ACTIVFILTER II TM is developed from Lewcott's unique method of impregnating a wide variety of substrates with activated carbon, long recognized as an effective odor adsorbing material.
Acting like a molecular magnet, activated carbon is a form of charcoal in which millions of pores are created to form an internal structure of interconnected capillary passages not much larger than the molecules that it adsorbs. The activated carbon attracts and holds these impurities on its internal surfaces even when the impurity is present in trace amounts.
Lewcott can supply ACTIVFILTERTM media for gas, air, or liquid filtration.
ACTIVFILTERTM media can be produced from a variety of different substrates including natural and synthetic, non-wovens, polyurethane foam, Reemay*, felt, and paper products.
Material can be manufactured with varied amounts of activated carbon, in combination with other active odor agents.
We can supply the entire package, in roll goods or die cut to fit your filter specifications, or custom coat materials supplied to us.

ACS carbon filters are used to adsorb gaseous odours and impurities from the air stream and are available pre-assembled as either cartridge filters or panel filters or alternatively supplied in loose bulk form as well as carbon coated foams and synthetic media. The cartridge shown here is particularly abrasion resistant whilst offering low air resistance. Along with standard grade carbon a comprehensive range of impregnated carbons is available in various particle sizes. For the more demanding of applications the range is completed by chemical adsorption and oxidation filters incorporating specially designed granules.

OdorBan Carbon Pleated Panel Filters
For odor and fume control our "OdorBan" products are an efficient and economical solution. "OdorBan" pleated panel filters fit existing filter housings thus eliminating the need for costly equipment changes. "OdorBan" pleated panel filters add to the benefits of "OdorBan" pad/roll media by increasing surface area for extended service life, lower pressure drop and even greater removal efficiency. OdorBan filters are now rated MERV 8 per AHSRAE 52.2.
OdorBan Bulk Rolls and Inserts
For odor and fume control our "OdorBan" products are an efficient and economical solution. "OdorBan" pads and rolls are polyester filter material with carbon bonded to every fiber. Even distribution of small carbon particles insures good removal efficiency of odors and fumes. "OdorBan" pads and rolls fit existing filter housings thus eliminating the need for costly equipment changes.

SAAFCarb enhanced capacity media efficiently removes 99.5% of targeted contaminants from SAAFCarb systems. Target impurities include diesel fumes (nitrogen dioxide), hydrocarbons, chlorine, and volatile organic compounds (VOC). The pelletized activated carbon is composed of non-toxic, bituminous coal substrate. SAAFCarb media removes toxic and impure gases from the environment by adsorption. In this process, the gases accumulate on the surface of the pellet.
The 4.0 mm pellet media undergoes several quality control tests before being shipped, revealing low pressure drop and high adsorptive capacity. SAAFCarb media performs at a range of -4° to 125°F (-20° to 51°C) under 10- 95% relative humidity (RH). Airflow is effective in commercial and industrial systems, and ranges from less than 25 CFM (42.5 m3/hr) to over 100,000 CFM (169,920 m3/hr) and with velocities from 60 to 500 FPM (1,080 to 9,000 m/hr).

Nano-Tio2 was deposited on the surface of filter in various material, that has better absorption than activated carbon. Nano-Tio2 visible-light-induced photocatalysis may decompose deleterious gas such as formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia, nicotinism, etc., and sterilize air which may contain germs suspended therin, deodorize air. Light accelerant is harmless to the human body, and last permanently. Photocatalyst Filter ismainly used in sterilization of air machine.
Odor decomposing rate is more than 96%.
Bactericidal rate is more than 99%.

The CYCLESORB Service is a mobile adsorption service combining adsorber and transport vessel for the treatment of liquid streams.
The Cyclesorb ® are pre-loaded with carbon and delivered to a site. The unit is operated until saturation of the activated carbon. A second unit is then delivered at the same time that the exhausted unit is picked to minimise transport.
Once the unit is returned to a Chemviron Carbon facility it is discharged of spent carbon, cleaned, checked and refilled with virgin or reactivated carbon.
The CYCLESORB ® units come complete with piping, valves and connections suitable for immediate connection to the stream to be treated. The frame for the unit allows it to be placed on a suitable flat and hard surface.
The liquid is pumped through the units in a down flow direction. The outlet should be monitored periodically to check the activated carbon is achieving the treatment objective by regularly taking samples.
The benefits of this service include:
Simple installation and operation - The units are designed for connection with flexible hosing and come with the activated carbon installed. No carbon handling is required as the unit is simply exchanged.
Rapid installation - CYCLESORBS are normally available from inventory, ready for immediate startup and operation.
Low capital expense - CYCLESORBS are supplied on a service basis requiring no capital expenditure.
Partnership - Chemviron Carbon supply both the system and reactivation service and therefore have a vested interest to ensure the system fully meets the requirements.
