The Kerk® RGS - Rapid Guide Screw - is a screw-driven linear slide that offers exceptional linear speed, accurate positioning, and long life in a compact, value-priced assembly. The length and speed of the Kerk RGS is not limited by critical screw speed, allowing high RPM and linear speeds, even over long spans.
Standard leads include .100", .200", .500" and 1.00" (2.54, 5.08, 12.7 and 25.4 mm) travel per revolution. Many optional leads, both inch and metric based, offer everything from high efficiency to non-backdriving leads for vertical applications, eliminating the need for brakes. With Kerk's wide range of available leads, speeds of more than 60 inches per second (1.5 meters per second) are possible, rivaling belts and cables while offering superior positioning accuracy, repeatibility and axial stiffness.
The Kerk RGS slide includes a precision aluminum guide and carriage and is driven by a precision rolled stainless steel lead screw. The moving surfaces include Kerkite® high performance polymers running on Kerkote TFE coating.
The Kerk RGS has a unique, compact profile that provides exceptional torsional stiffness and stability for its size and weight. The integral mounting base allows support over the entire length if desired. Lengths up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) can readily be built, and longer lengths are possible on a special order basis.
The Kerk RGS comes standard with a wear-compensating, anti-backlash driven carriage. Additional driven or passive carriages can be added, along with applications specific customization. Linear guides, without the drive screw, are also available.
Kerk RGS® Linear Slides for motor and sensor mounting Now available, the RGSW and RGSWX Series configurations of the RGS Linear Slide simplify motor and limit switch sensor mounting. Both versions include slots for sensor brackets and mounting provisions for a flag on the carriage, while the RGSWX also includes a bracket for motor mounting. The motor, coupling and sensors are not provided, but a sensor mounting kit for a common optical sensor is available from Kerk (see Sensor Mount Kit). |

Saia-motor for positioning, opening/closing or dosing
The new 20mm UAL linear actuator is a small powerhouse. With a resolution of 21 µm per full step, it has a constant force of up to 30 N over the full travel range of 15mm. The compact housing, with a 20mm external diameter, is supported by a direct cable outlet.
The design of the actuator can be engi-neered as a bipolar or unipolar stepper motor, as well as a synchronous motor (max. 50 Vac.). The flexible manufactur-ing of the actuator allows a customer-specific mounting flange and a tailor-made layout design to meet all customer needs. Therefore, the linear actuator has the best preconditions to be used in posi-tioning units, valves and dosing pumps, for example in medical technology or in locking systems. |

LTA’s are designed to fit into your existing manual stages and other opto-mechanical components as a direct replacement for manual micrometers. The LTA series features a space-saving design with the motor and lead screw side-by-side. This reduces the actuator length by 50% and minimizes the negative effects of long cantilever loads on micro-positioning equipment. The non-rotating tip prevents wear and avoids periodic motion variations which can be caused by variable contact made between a rotating tip and the mating surface.

Noliac's Ceramic Multilayer Benders products are based on the company's advanced multilayer technology, harnessing the full potential of the piezoelectric effect at very low operating voltages.
Multilayer piezoelectric benders are single co-fired ceramic components with ceramic layers and internal electrodes configured as to generate a bending mode.
The most common bender geometry is a narrow rectangle (CMBP) with typical performance range up to +/- 1500µm stroke and up to 10N blocking force.
Noliac has also developed a unique ring shape bender (CMBR) with typical performances range up to +/- 150µm and up to 100N blocking force.
Multilayer benders are used in numerous applications within e.g. optics, telecommunication, instrumentation, automotive, valves. |

DSM's NA-25 and NA-80 actuators are direct-drive piezoelectric actuators integrated into a protective metallic frame. The frame is a monolithic piece of stainless steel or titanium alloy with a flexure-based expansion component.
The flexure minimizes the resistance that the frame might impart to the piezoelectric actuation. The frame also includes standard threaded receiver holes at the top and bottom and incorporates a preload mechanism. The mechanical preload maintains compression on the piezoelectric ceramic under high tensile forces and ensures bidirectional operation. The design thus provides increased resilience to mechanical loads when compared to non-preloaded actuators.
The NA-25 and NA 80 are well-suited to many applications where high force and high frequency response are required. |
|
| Wide selection of sizes, high thrust capacities and broad range of mounting flexibility. Maximum dynamic thrust capacities range from 125 lbs to 4700 lbs. Strokes in any incremental length up to 60 inches depending on body size. Conform to both NFPA and ISO industry mounting standards. |

Actuators, shear plates (CSAP)
Noliac's line of ceramic shear actuator plates (CSAP) is based on the Noliac Group's advanced piezo technology.
Based on the piezoelectric shear mode, Noliac's shear actuators can be made more compact and have higher resonant frequencies than conventional piezo actuators. In addition, their low capacitance results in reduced power requirements for a given generated displacement in dynamic operation.
Shear actuators are used in numerous applications within e.g. nanopositioning, precision mechanics, active vibration cancellation, semiconductor manufacturing and testing. |

Amplified Piezoelectric Actuators (APA)
Patented by the CEDRAT Group, the amplified piezo actuator is a mechanical magnified preloaded stack of low voltage piezoelectric ceramics (MLA). The mechanical amplification is obtained thanks to an external elliptical shell made of stainless steel which magnify along the short axis the MLA deformation occurring along the main axis. This elliptical frame also protects the MLA against tensile force. It provides the user with mechanical interfaces for easy integration. This prestressing and magnifying flextensionnal frame applies an optimal preloading force to the MLA which ensures a longer life time and better performance than traditional mechanical amplifier based on lever arm and flexure pivot, when applied dynamically.
The Amplified Piezo Actuators, APAs, developed by the CEDRAT Group have force and displacement performance ranges which are beyond that of direct or bimorph Piezoactuators.
10 series (uXS, XXS, XS, S, SM, M, MML, ML, L, XL) of APAs are available in order to meet the different needs in terms of stroke, force and dimensions |
