For ease of application and outstanding performance, choose Master Bond one part, heat curable epoxy systems. They are designed to save time, improve efficiency, eliminate waste and enhance reliability. These systems are pre-catalyzed and require only moderate heat to cure. This avoids the need to mix two components which can result in air entrapment. To prevent such problems, two part epoxies often must be mixed in a vacuum environment. Additionally, two component systems often have multiple mix ratios i.e. 10 to 1 by weight, etc. and limited pot lives. This often leads to errors. One part, no mix systems alleviate inaccurate mixing and eliminate wastage from non-use of compounds in specified time periods. Furthermore, the speed of cure is rapid — often faster than two component systems.
Master Bond offers an extensive variety of one component epoxy systems. They are available in small to large quantities and are freshly prepared to ensure maximum shelf life. We use the most advanced polymers and our technology is cutting edge. Special formulations are cryogenically serviceable, castable over 1 inch thick, machinable, electrically conductive, thermally conductive and have superior tensile strength properties. Additionally, NASA low outgassing approved systems and compounds that meet USP Class VI requirements are also available.

Optical systems offered by Master Bond include both one and two component epoxy resin compounds and one component UV curable compositions. The epoxies are specially formulated to maximize resistance to water and other adverse environments. Features of the optical systems offered by Master Bond are excellent light transmission characteristics, superior non-yellowing properties along with a wide range of systems where the index of refraction ranges from a relatively low 1.43 up to 1.61. The ultraviolet compositions cure tack free in the presence of air. Formulations have been carefully processed to exclude potentially objectionable contaminants as chlorine and other halogens as well as sodium and related elements. They provide innovative solutions to the many processing problems of the optical industry and virtually eliminate quality control difficulties caused by corrosion and other environmentally induced conditions.
Applications range from bonding and potting fiber-optic cables, connectors and terminations, upgrading the vibration and shock resistance of electro-optic assemblies, cementing and coating optical parts, potting LED devices, optical replications, bonding ferrules and connectors, and coating or encapsulating a wide variety of electro-optic and laser components.

Master Bond photoinitiated adhesives are part of a fast growing family of one component UV curable adhesive systems for high performance coatings, adhesives, sealants, potting and encapsulation. These UV and EB radiation curing adhesives include polyurethanes, epoxies, polyesters and acrylics. UV adhesive grades vary in thicknesses, hardness, chemical resistance, strength, clarity, etc. When exposed to a suitable UV light source, UV curable compounds usually cure in a matter of seconds. The Master Bond UV cure products are not oxygen inhibited and cure at ambient temperatures. Environmentally friendly, they are 100% reactive liquids which do not contain any solvents or other volatiles. Upon cure they exhibit minimal shrinkage. Additionally, they are strong, durable, and offer superior temperature and chemical resistance. If required, special formulations can be developed to best meet specific product application and performance needs. One new "dual cure" adhesive compound can be cured by exposure to either UV light or heat.
Master Bond UV curable coatings and adhesives are one component systems and require no mixing. They have a long shelf life when stored at ambient temperatures in the absence of UV light. They have excellent bond strength to metals, ceramics, many plastics and most rubbers. UV curing sealants adhesives and encapsulants are particularly suitable for automated continuous manufacturing processes because of their fast cure speeds.

Silicones are ready-to-use one component adhesives that polymerize at ambient humidity. After creation of a « skin » after 30 minutes, polymerisation continues from 24 to 48 hours for joint thickness going from 2 to 4 mm.
There are different chemical bases of silicon, acetic bases and neutral bases (methoxy, alkoxy...). They present good adhesion on ali supports and insure high performance in most applications (mechanical, electronic, electric...). Silicones have excellent resistance to Chemicals, and can be used in extreme conditions (high temperatures, UV).
MS Polymers are one component adhesives without solvents which harden from absorbing humidity. With a faster reaction than with silicones or PU, the reaction continues for 24 hours and until it is set. Non-toxic and without danger for the environment, MS Polymers are ideal substitutes for silicones and PU.
