Normal gummed paper tape are made in accordance with the German standards DIN 55476 page 1 and essentially made up of two strips of Kraft paper hot glued together (~70°C) upon the interposition of fibreglass threads: some positioned lengthwise and others in an “X” form with an angle of 37°.
The application of vegetable glue (starch gum, standard spreading) or animal glue (gelatine, spreading on request) on paper strips complete the tape.

Scapa Semi-Conducting tapes perform electrical functions within a cable. Their primary function is to equalise the field current around the conductor or core and to ensure electrical contact with the earthing system. This reduces the electrical stress on the insulation material and enhances performance. They can also be used to prevent electrolytic corrosion of metallic armour layers.
Our range of semi-conducting tapes offer excellent solutions for both core and conductor screening. They prevent extrudate penetration of the conductor wires, and with high tensile strength and abrasion resistance, help to prevent ‘birdcaging’ through strong binding properties.
The range also incorporates tapes which have first class bedding characteristics, and are available in a plain or printed format. All of these tapes are free from halogens and sulphur to improve fire safety and prevent copper staining.

ZincTape comprises a layer of 99,99% pure zinc 80 microns thick with 25 microns of adhesive protected by a removable siliconised paper. It is available in rolls in shapes based on the customer's needs. A feature of the new laminated zinc tape is its electrically conductive adhesive:this is achieved by incorporating a percentage of powdered zinc into the adhesive during manufacture. Since it's very easy to apply ZincTape, our product can be used in different fields, such as automotive and railway sectors, refineries, pipelines, tanks, poles and stakes and others.

Highly effective anticorrosive tape developed with a base film of adhesive molten galvanized zinc. Zinc coated layer will not be infiltrated by water, gas, etc. and will not age from ultraviolet rays, so corrosion does not develop from the inner layer.
The product is available in standard width 25,50,100mm x 20 meters long.
Width and length based on customer’s need are available on request

Labels are printed using, amongst other things, so-called "narrow and mid-web" flexographic printing. The difference to the printing of flexible packaging lies in the size of the printing cylinder. Label printing is carried out with a smaller cylinder circumference, and the print runs are also smaller.
A frequent change of motifs, a large number of different types of content and information on the label, as well as complex designs, demand the highest print quality. Lohmann offers a broad selection of plate mounting tapes for flexographic label printing with the DuploFLEX® 3 and 4 series. These adapt perfectly to the different requirements when printing labels.

These qualities are double-side self-adhesive mounting tapes consisting of a closed-cell polyethylene foam and are equipped with a special pressure-sensitive acrylate adhesive. These tapes are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. High initial and rapid final adhesive strength required for mounting of Georgian profiles are accomplished through the application of VITOMOUNT 125. Subsequent sealing of the joint within the marginal zone between the window glass and the Georgian profile is, in principle, conformable to the present technical standard and is absolutely obligatory. The recommended temperature of application should be between + 18°C and + 30°C. Since Georgian profiles of different materials such as, for example, wood, metals and plastics are applied, the prevailing conditions must be optimally respected by the choice of the adequate thickness.

* All cloth tapes are strong and offer good conformability
* All cloth tapes from Advance Tapes have non-corrosive adhesives keeping any reaction with the surface applied down to a minimum
* Some cloth tapes will peel clean from surfaces, usually polycoated tapes perform better in this respect although surfaces should be tested if this is critical
* If you wish to write on the tape for identification purposes, uncoated cloth tapes may be the best choice. Alternatively, tapes with a matt surface will perform better than gloss coated tapes. Please request a sample to test if this is an important factor in choosing the tape
* Cloth tapes should be applied at between +10°C and +40°C
* Surfaces should also be as clean and dry with any loose material and dust removed as far as possible
* Tapes should be stored at a temperature of no lower than +5°C. If tape is left in a van or unheated warehouse in the winter months, it will need time to warm up prior to application
* The most popular colours for cloth tapes are black, silver and white. For a much wider range of colours, polycoated tapes offer the best choice.

Optical clear applications
With the Duplocoll® CPT (clear performance tape) adhesive tape range Lohmann has significantly improved the qualitative properties of acrylic adhesives. The pressure-sensitive acrylic film is completely transparent. The light refraction index is almost identical to that of glass. Duplocoll® CPT opens up interesting and economical possibilities for design and production (e.g. for glass-metal connections used for example in the building and furniture industry).

These tapes are also applicable in rooms where they are temporarily exposed to an elevated air-humidity such as, for example, in bathrooms. However, their applications are not recommendable in humid rooms subject to an elevated humidity caused by the influence of splashed water and condensed moisture. These tapes are resistant to softening agents and are compatible with plexiglass. They are applicable within a temperature range from - 40°C up to + 70°C. Their compatibility with commercially available mirror varnishes has been verified and ascertained. Their paramount peeling and shearing resistance values guarantee an eminent stability of the adhesive joint, even under elevated weight load. The soft and flexible foam compensates slight uneveness. These qualities are also deliverable with an easily tearable protective paper covering. As far as the mounting of mirrors on surfaces with low-surface tension is concerned, the application of special tapes is recommendable. We are pleased to provide you with adequate and detailed information.
