The Camfil Farr Hi-Flo® offers high efficiency grade filtration to address today's indoor air quality problems. The Hi-Flo can remove contaminants such as fumes, smoke, bacteria, fungi and virus-bearing droplet nuclei. The Hi-Flo is the filter of choice for the removal of nuisance contaminants such as pollens, paper dust and other atmospheric impurities.
The Camfil Farr Hi-Flo incorporates high lofted air laid micro fiber glass media to ensure reliable efficiency throughout the life of the filter. Equipped with a high quality filter material, with small fiber diameter and uniform lofting, it guarantees a consistent and reliable sub-micron particle capture throughout its lifetime. Synthetic micro mesh media backing ensures media protection and support in turbulent or varying airflows.

Polyamide fibres are synthetic fibres made from linear macromolecules obtained from the polycondensation of bi-functional components. The most industrially used polyamide fibres are Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6.
Nylon 6.6 is produced by the condensation polymerization of hexamethylene diamine and adipic acid, it is the nylon for antonomasia and the most popular.
Nylon 6 is produced by the condensation polymerization of caprolactuam.
At first sight Nylon 6 and 6.6 do not differ from each other when compared at ambient temperature. But increasing the temperature the tenacity reduces progressively until it is completely zero at 215°C for Nylon 6 and at 255°C for Nylon 6.6.
Characteristics of polyamide fibre
- Resistance to wear
- High elastic recovery
- Easy to dye
- Good colour fastness
- Easy to maintain
- Limited dimensional stability
- High Creep
- Sensitive to chemical reagents
- Poor resistance to high temperatures

Glass Fibre Filter Media
The ACS glass fibre media are manufactured using computer controlled spunbonded technology producing media, that are of consistent high quality with a progressive density and high dust holding capacity with very low initial pressure loss. The media are suitable for use in high dust applications as primary filters, in H & V installations, as extract filters for paint overspray or as inlet filters for gas turbine installation

LydAir® MG are non-woven, wet laid filter media for use in pleated air filters. Lydair MG media are comprised primarily of glass micro fibers and are produced with a wet laid process similar to those used for the production of paper. Available efficiencies range from 45% ASHRAE to ULPA (99.995%+). Providing 100% mechanical efficiency, Lydair MG does not rely on an electrostatic charge and will not loose efficiency over time. Specially engineered to provide the highest available efficiency at a minimal resistance to air flow, LydAir® MG is chosen for applications where guaranteed efficiency and consistency is a must and reduced energy costs can provide a distinguishable competitive advantage.
LydAir® MG products may be laminated for applications requiring increased physical strength

Nextel Ceramic Fibers
3M™ Nextel™ Continuous Ceramic Oxide Fibers 312, 440, 550, 610 and 720 represent a major advancement in refractory fiber technology. This family of metal oxide fibers can be readily converted into ceramic textile products which meet demanding performance requirements in high temperature operating environments. Nextel™ Ceramic Textiles are typically used in aerospace, outerspace and industrial applications.
Because the filaments are continuous and strong, Nextel™ Ceramic Textiles can be produced without the aid of other fibers or wire inserts. Rovings, yarns, fabrics, tapes, sleevings and sewing threads are typical products.
Features of 3M™ Nextel™ Fibers:
- Low elongation at operating temperatures
- Low shrinkage at operating temperatures
- Good chemical resistance
- Low thermal conductivity
- Thermal shock resistance
- Low porosity
- Unique electrical properties
|
|
Made from 3M™ Nextel™ Fibers, these chopped fibers are used in composite applications. The fibers, commonly chopped to 1/8", 1/4" and 1/2" lengths, are widely known for their role in ceramic underbody tiles which protect NASA's Space Shuttles.
NOTE: These fibers are considered non-respirable. Fibers with diameters greater than 3 microns are considered nonrespirable in humans. 3M™ Nextel™ 312, 440, 550, 610 and 720 Ceramic fibers are 7-13 microns in diameter and therefore pose no known chronic health effects.

ZRCI Refractory Sheet Types RS-Cloth and RS-Tape are fiber reinforced alumina composites in a highly flexible form. They are received dried, when wetted with water or Al-HARD Hardener they become extremely flexible. They can be wrapped into many simple or complex shapes and will stick to themselves. When dried they become an extremely hard, strong, self supporting composite structures. RS-Putty can be used to burnish any surface and provide a very smooth hard finish. After a low temperature bake-out of 300°C (570°F) RS-Cloth And Tape are unaffected by moisture.
They offer the strength, durability, flexibility and versatility required by many high temperature applications up to 1300°C (2373°F). Their high alumina content makes Refractory Sheet RS-Cloth and RS-Tape highly resistant to many environments including Hot Glass handling, molten aluminum and chemical and petroleum processing. After they are baked out they are not affected by water as well as many types of fuel oils. When hardened with AL-Hard Refractory Sheet RS-Cloth and RS-Tape become "rock hard" for greater strength.
