Sensor signal professional amplifier MTI04CS/ MTI04CQ
With the MTI04CS/CQ, MAZeT now presents the second-generation multi-channel transimpedance amplifier. The MTI04CS/CQ now offers the ability to adapt the compensation of the transimpedance amplifier) to the input capacitance of the detection, such as photodiodes. This is done digitally in two stages, 5 and 80pF.
Programming of the transimpedance gain is carried out via three input pins to any of eight levels; and takes effect for all channels simultaneously.
Additional technical characteristics
- Switchable frequency response compensation for input photodiodes (< 5pF and < 80pF)
- Good synchronization of the amplification and the temperature coefficients by the transfer function
- Settable power-save mode
- Supply voltage from 2.7 to 5.5V
- Extended temperature range from -40 to +125°C
IC Types
* MTI04CD – ‘naked’ chip (die)
* MTI04CS – 16-pin SOP16 package
* MTI04CQ – 16-pin QSOP16 package |

PCB Automotive Detection Debuts High Temperature Preamplifier
Operating to +120 °C for NVH Powertrain & Vehicle Underhood Testing
The Automotive Sensors division of PCB Piezotronics (PCB®) has announced release of a new high-temperature preamplifier, designed to overcome high temperature testing challenges associated with NVH powertrain and vehicle underhood testing applications, and to broaden options for NVH test engineers collecting acoustic data in high temperature areas.
Automotive engineers routinely perform NVH tests in areas around the powertrain, where elevated operating temperatures can present major measurement challenges. Underhood temperatures can peak at +125 0C under normal driving conditions, and can be significantly higher near turbochargers and exhaust system components, such as manifolds and diesel particulate professional filters. In the past, test engineers were limited by preamplifiers offering temperature ranges to + 70 °C. Model HT426E01 is a 1/2" preamplifier operating from ICP sensor power, terminating with BNC professional connector and utilizing standard in line cables. The model features a low attenuation factor (-0.06 dB) and low noise characteristics, 4.9 µV, based on an A-weight professional scale.
Common applications include underhood measurements for benchmarking and issue professional identification, including professional engine radiated, induction, ancillary and turbocharger noise; near-field measurements on manifolds; mufflers; exhaust after treatment components; and tailpipe noise. NVH groups within OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers involved with testing of powertrain components will benefit most from this product. |
