The encoders series MEM-Bus avail on an interface to connect to field bus systems according to the CANopen standard.
MEM-Bus encoders can be supplied both in single turn version (resolution 13 bit) and in multiturn version (resolution 19 bit: 8192 steps/rev. x 65536 revolutions).
The encoder operating parameters can be set directly by the user: revolutions no., steps x revolution, rotation direction and preset no.
The diagnostic function signal possible parameter or position entering errors, and the battery alarm (data memory is ensured for over 13 years).
3 LEDs signal the supply, line and error state.
Different mechanical versions are available to satisfy all applications: round or square flange, servo coupling, hollow shaft for motor coupling.
The electrical connection is by cable: two or three cable gland option is available.

The encoders of the FIELD BUSSES series are absolute Single-turn or Multi-turn rotary shaft encoders with an interface to connect to field bus systems according to the PROFIBUS, INTERBUS, CANopen, DeviceNet or Ethernet standard.
PROFIBUS: PROcess FIeldBUS (in according to EN50170 vol.2 Standard), was one of the first open bus for constructors. DP VERSION is oriented to fast switch of a reduced number of data in automation sector.
CANopen: Controller Area Network; transmission protocol to message oriented. Used in automotive sector.
DeviceNet: field bus similar to CANopen, but much more open and with more restrictive specifications.
InterBus: first open bus realized in the world ( in according to EN50254 and IEC 61158 Standard). It is able to realize real-time functions.

General Description
The profichip MPI12x is a communication chip with processor interface for MPI applications.
The MPI12x handles the message and address identification, the data security sequences and the protocol processing for PROFIBUS, which is the underlying transmission protocol.
Token handling, error detection and data pre-processing is executed out automatically by the MPI12x, relieving the host processor from all time-critical tasks and time-consuming arithmetic operations. Support of data transmission rates up to 12 Mbit/s, the integration of the PFOFIBus protocol into hardware, 4 KByte communication RAM and the configurable processor interface are features to create high-performance MPI applications.
Alternatively, the MPI12x can be used as a Serial Interface Device supporting synchronous and asynchronous standard protocols as well as user defined protocols with data transmission rates up to 12 Mbits/s.
Moreover the well-known PROFIBUS Slave Core VPC3+C (extended by DP-V2 service “Clock Synchronisation”) is integrated as well.

FCI liquid level/interface switches feature Thermal Dispersion technology in which the temperature difference between the two RTDs is greatest in the absence of liquid and decreases when the level element is submerged, cooling the heated RTD. An electronic control circuit converts the RTD temperature difference into a DC voltage signal. Both signals are provided at output terminals to drive two adjustable-setpoint alarm circuits. Both alarms are independently field configurable for liquid level, interface or temperature operation. Since all process media exhibit different heat transfer capabilities, highly sensitive FCI liquid level/interface controllers may be specifically calibrated to detect difficult interfaces between fluids -- including liquids, gases, slurries and foam regardless of their physical properties.

Thermatel® has demonstrated reliable performance as a flow or level switch. For use as a flow switch, Thermatel can be used to detect either a high flow or a low flow condition for both gases and liquids. For a level switch, Thermatel can be used to detect difference in thermal conductivity of various media. This includes interface detection between media such as liquid/foam, oil/water and even liquid/solid.
Thermatel probes are available in 316L Stainless Steel, Hastelloy C, or Monel with all welded construction. The technology has no moving parts providing excellent reliability.

The CF12 is an AC or DC powered thermal flow switch designed to monitor flow status of liquids and gas and can also be used to detect level. A chain of 8 LED's helps the user adjust the set point by giving a visual indication of the flow rate. In addition, there is a di-chromatic LED, which shows the switch point status of the unit. The sensing element and process connection of the CF12 are made with 316 S.S. and can be Teflon coated when necessary. The enclosure is glass filled nylon but is also available in aluminum for explosion proof applications.

Application
The ASi switch-mode power supply is a powerful and robust device to power sensitive loads in a hard industrial environment. These features result from the modern construction with a good radio shielding and high reliability integrated in a functional and stable casing. The short circuit proof output DC voltage is 30.5 V. This power supply is optimally suited for loads requiring
high starting currents.
Functional principle
In the ASi power supply a flyback converter operates to transform the energy in two steps. During the conducting phase the diode is blocking, the inductor is energized and a magnetic field establishes. There is no electrical transmission; the consumer load is supplied with energy from the capacitor.
When the switching transistor opens, the blocking phase begins. The current in the inductor cannot change immediately, discharges through the diode and a negative voltage establishes at the inductor.
Now operating like a power source the inductor reloads the capacitor and supplies the consumer with energy. The energy flows from the inductor into the capacitor and the consumer and through the conducting diode back to the inductor.
