Quiet, non-slip digital copying
Particularly quiet and smooth-running, thanks to special belts and low-noise suspension.
Use up to speeds of 4 m/sec.
User-friendly, reliable alternative to switches and sensors.
Accuracy in the shaft: - Incremental encoder WDG up to 0,08 mm at 5000 pulses. - Absolute encoder WDG multiturn, with 8192 steps/turn (13 Bit) and 4096 turns (12 Bit), with CANopen- Lift or SSI Interface.
Fast, flexible installation with complete set of mechanical parts.
Noticeably quieter in a noise comparison*: Conventional System: 92 db Silent Move: 68 db *measured directly at the idler pulley at 4 m/sec.

Absolute encoders are devices used to measure lengths or angles and are used as distance gauges in machine tools, in handling and automation technology and on testing units.
Absolute encoders
These output positional information in the form of a numerical value (code). This numerical value is unique across the entire resolution range of the absolute encoder. For this reason no initial reference run is required, as is the case with incremental encoders.
With rotary encoders, a distinction is made between single-turn encoders, which provide a resolution on just a single rotation and then revert to 0, and multi-turn encoders that provide a resolution over several rotations. A further distinction is made between optical and magnetic encoders.

The Hollow-Shaft Optical Encoders are rugged,
high-performance devices designed for
use where precise motion sensing is critical.
The Series 835H is available in three different models. They have the same mechanical and electrical features,
but differ in performance and price.
The following features are common to all models:
Optional zero index Fits any size shaft up to 1.2"(30mm)
diameter Simpler design of user's shaft: No threads, shoulders,
or critical length requirements Internal flexible coupling
for easier installation Combination synchro/face mount
or square-flange mount Shielded ABEC Class 7 bearings
for protection against contaminants Precise chrome-on-glass disc.

Absolute Single-turn
Absolute encoders, contrary to the incremental ones, deliver their position even after cut of the supply voltage and do not require mechanical repositionning. Single turn encoders allows the positionning in the revolution (0-360°).
Absolute encoders provide Gray, binary or other specific code upon request.
Three ranges are available: the 58mm POSI+TM the 90mm ROBUSTECHTM, the 200mm MAXXTM.
Absolute Multi-turn
In addition to the position in the revolution, absolute multiturn encoder provides the number turns which have been made, up to 65,536 revolutions (16 bit).
A complete range of multiturn encoder is available with a mechanical or a patented all electronic memorisation of the number of turns.

Incremental Encoder HS15
Performance Benefits:
With high-performance, high-resolution digital feedback in an extremely small package, the new DataTorque HS15 combines the resolution and performance common with much larger encoder packages with the stability of a bearing encoder design.
The HS15 provides a bearing design that simplifies encoder attachment, resulting in a longer service life with less downtime (from feedback device failure). It delivers high noise immunity. In addition, the DataTorque HS15 is cost competitive with modular encoders.
Design Features:
The DataTorque HS15 is miniature in size, only 1.5 inches (38 mm) in diameter and low profile, only 0.87 inches (22 mm) in assemble height, yet it provides resolutions up to 5,000 lines with or without commutation. Output options are single-ended or differential line driver.
The DataTorque HS15 has low supply current requirements. The optional 5 to 26 VDC can help reduce inventory. It is constructed of a conductive carbon fiber composite that provides the EMI shielding of an all-metal housing and the performance of a lightweight robust assembly.

The encoder is used to measure angular position of the key components of machines, industrial robots, comparators, rotary tables, servo drives, dividing equipment and to establish an informational link with DCC, NC or Digital Readout units. The encoder has integrated stator coupling so it can be fixed directly on the object shaft. Adapter (delivered on option) can be used for mounting convenience. The encoder is used in automatic control, adjusting and monitoring systems.
