STACIS® is the world's most advanced active vibration cancellation system. Employing advanced inertial vibration sensors and state-of-the-art piezoelectric actuators, STACIS® 2100 cancels vibration in real time by sensing floor vibration, then expanding and contracting piezoelectric actuators to filter out floor motion. Isolation starts at 0.6 Hz and the active bandwidth is 250 Hz.

Entirely metal shock absorbers with multidirectional characteristics for the insulation of the shocks and the vibrations.
|
|
While hot forming machine tools (hammers, screw presses) use high kinetic energy for the metal forming, where part of this energy is dissipated into the ground causing there rather high vibration levels, however, in case of the cold forming process it is the sudden release of the stresses - built up in the press frame during the pressing operation - when cutting through the material (blanking).
In both cases GERB can provide special Spring-Viscodamper® combinations, which allow today direct spring support of the equipment whereas in the past quite massive foundations were necessary.

|
SPRING SUPPORTS
VARIABLE AND COSTANT SPRINGS SUPPORTS are constructed to supports loads up to 30000 Kgs, and with a standard range of travel up to 600mm, complete with ancillary equipments and collars.
|
|
Suspension Spring
The Suspension springs are designed to provide a maintenance free flexible load bearing component allowing angular and shear movement whilst transmitting high axial loads. There is also a built in fail-safe device to prevent total mount failure in the case of severe overload.

Spring isolation units type FSL comprise a group of heavy duty helical springs contained within robust steel platforms.
Applications
FSL springs can be used either under a foundation or mounted directly under machinery or building structures.
Construction
Fabricated steel platforms used with helical springs to BS 1726-1:2002. As standard the springs are painted black and the platforms are painted to the customer’s colour choice.
Properties
Low frequency vibration isolation for sensitive machinery.
Description of Diagram Fig 11.1

* Reinforced concrete foundation blocks and associated structures to be designed by qualified consulting engineers and constructed by contractors of proven ability and experience.
FSL Steel Springs can be used either on their own on in tandem with FV dampers. Where the system in likely to go through resonance and excessive movement is a concern it is recommended that FV dampers are used in conjunction with FSL springs. FSL steel springs can be employed in a variety of combinations and support arrangements, Farrat will design isolation systems to meet a customers specific technical requirements. To assist our customers in the smooth running of every project Farrat provide construction drawings and installation instructions with all FSL springs supplied.

Suitable for machinery and equipment which produce low frequency vibrations. Springs of different power can be combined in order to obtain the whole range of loads using the desired number of springs.
Available in several sizes.
TM and TA series are the best solution as ceiling sustainers.

Smaller than traditional wire rope isolators, these unique isolators provide unsurpassed multi-axis shock / vibration isolation with maximum reliability where sway space is a premium. Compact WRI are unaffected by temperature extremes and chemical exposure. Featuring a patented crimping pattern, they are ideal for lightweight applications such as disk drives, sensitive mobile electronics, medical equipment, and small pumps / motors.
|
|
|
Comprised of stainless steel cable threaded through aluminum alloy retaining bars, these helical isolator products ensure effective vibration isolation. Enidine Wire Rope Isolators are environmentally stable, high-performance shock and vibration isolators that are unaffected by temperature extremes, chemical attack, oils, ozone and abrasives. They are ideally suited for electronic cabinets, shipping cases, as well as pump, generator and compressor isolation.
|
|
The SMAC CABLE wire rope isolators, which are entirely metallic and pocess multi-axis characteristics, well adapted for the isolation of materials exposed to shock and vibration in harsh environment (ex: embedded electronic enclosures).
The assembly of plates is ensured by:
stainless steel staples for 2305s to 2340s series
stainless steel or bichromated coated with zinc steel screw for 2345s to 2395s series and 2405s to 2450s series.
The plates can be delivered with Thru (Th), Countersunk (C), or Threaded (T) fixation holes.
All products can be customized to your exact requirements upon request.

Advantages:
- Stability: Steel mounting provide stable characteristics and the height under load remains constant with time
- Unaffected by corrosion. Steel dampers are unaffected by oil, grease, solvents, adverse weather and corrosives products.
- Unaffected by temperature. Steel dampers withstand temperatures from - 70°C to 300°C without changing characteristics.
- Low natural frenquency. Steel mounting with springs can have natural frequencies as low as 3 Hz, which can provide up to 98% attenuation for low speed rotating machinery.

Fabreeka® resilient laminated fabric pad is a scientifically designed and manufactured material composed of layers of tightly twisted, closely woven lightweight duck. Each layer is impregnated with an elastomeric compound containing mold and mildew inhibiting agents. The properties of Fabreeka® are exceptionally suited for the reduction of impact shock, vibration and structure-borne noise.
Some features and benefits of Fabreeka® pads:
- Do not have a shape factor
- Exhibit relatively high damping (C/Cc -.14)
- Creep effects are reduced to a limit of 5% of original thickness
- Operating temperature limits are -65°F (-55°C) to 200°F (95°C)
- Unusually high compressive strength - 12,000 psi
- Impervious to most oils and solvents
- Resist effects of steam, water, mildew and brine
- Can be supplied in nominal thicknesses of 1/16" (1.6 mm) up to 1" (25.4 mm)
- Thicker sections can be supplied by bonding standard thicknesses together
- Can be custom fabricated to any shape or size (see OEM section for samples of fabricated parts)
Some practical aspects and considerations when using Fabreeka® pads:
- Provides stability and limited motion
- Should be used with rigid support for best performance
- Connections to isolated system should be made flexible
- Avoid metal-to-metal contact in mount attachments by including Fabreeka® Bushings and Washers
