Bex LA - Flush Mounted Ball Valves
LA valves are designed to be used on suspended fluids in the pulp and paper industry. The vave is aimed to meet some basic demands.
In sampling applications it must deliver a tru part of the main flow.
In drainage applications there must be no risk of clogging.
Installed the valve must not cause any heavy dynamic stress to the pipe or the wel
To meet the demands the fluid ahead of the ball must continuously be renewed. The ball must in practice be a part of the pipe wall. The flow ahead of the ball must also be turbulent and at very low velocity the fluid must be mobile. The design of the weld-on flange that is thin and with a conical entrance facing the ball ensure the function.
In drainage applications the fluid can be standing in front of the ball. The fluid can not be allowed to dewater into the valve body as normal for a ball valve. Fibers that get wedged between the ball and the upper seat ring can initiate a clogging problem. Of this reason the LA valve will always have a cavity filler around the ball.
La valves are designed to add as low weight as possible to the pipe wall and the welding. The weld-on flange is thin has a low weight and is easy to handle. The valve body will add a low weight to the weld-on flange and the center of gravity will be close to the pipe wall. The dynamic stress on the pipe and the welding will be low.

The SOMAS ball valve type SKV is designed to meet the demands from the process industry.
The design is a flanged full bore valve in sizes DN 25-400 mm (1-16 inch).
The pressure rating is PN 50 (ANSI 300) for DN 25-50 and PN 10-25 (ANSI 150) for DN 80-400. The material is stainless steel with hard chrome plated ball as standard. As option the ball can be HiCo-coated.
The valve has a cylindrical bore that’s gives a minimum of turbulence and a maximum of capacity.
The seats are made from PTFE 53 or HiCo (High Cobolt alloy) and due to spring loaded seats the valve offers a good tightness also at low differential pressure.
The valve is delivered with actuator and accessories for hand operation, on/off operation or for control application.
Beside the type SKV, SOMAS also have a range of 3-piece ball valves type S36. The valve is available with threaded ends, type S36FBG or with welding ends, type S36FBS or with flanges, type S36FBF. It is possible to combine different types of ends.
It is a full bore ball valve in stainless steel with ISO connection for actuators and with two alternative seat materials, PTFE or PTFE re-inforced with glass fibre.

The P21 High Performance Spherical Disc Valve is designed to meet tomorrow's demanding requirements for containment of solids, powders and slurries. Engineered for pressure assisted sealing from full vacuum to 150 PSI. GEMCO valves use a spherical disc which moves across the seat wiping material away from the sealing area. Rising-plug style valve for process instrumentation applications. Provides users with a highly reliable valve solution for applications where contaminated media can lead to premature valve failure.
The rising plug valve's ‘straight-through’ design supports higher flow rates than needle valves, helping to avoid the build-up of deposits.
The HRPV Series valve features an 8-turn actuation cycle, with a rolled spindle thread and smaller sealing area - lowering the torque required when controlling high pressure fluid flows and providing a long life. It’s rated to 10,000 PSI (689 bar) - a typical actuation torque of just 25 pound-inches (2.82 Nm) of torque is required.
Two types of body are available: inline 2-port design, and an inline design with a standard 3-port gauge interface at one end. In its smallest 1/4 inch female NPT version, the overall body length of the compact valve measures just 60.5 mm.
As standard, the valve is provided with PEEK seats, which allows the valve to operate up to 200+ degrees C, and resists wear and damage from the kind of aggressive media encountered in oil and gas processing environments.
Fabricated from 316 stainless steel as standard, HRPV Series valves can optionally be specified in a wide range of exotic alloys.

HILCO Transfer Valves assure positive sealing for uninterrupted flow and a low pressure drop. They feature an innovative spring loaded pad and shaft design with large cross-section O-ring seals. Top and bottom covers with centering pilots provide support to the body to resist deformation from pipe strain. The turning mechanism features a choice of handle, wormgear or actuator designs to meet your requirements.
Built to Hilliard's exacting standards, these transfer valves allow for replacement of the pads without replacement of the entire valve. Six standard sizes are available (1-1/2" to 8"), as well as a split transfer valve model designed for duplex coolers.
Continuous flow transfer valves are available in carbon steel, 304, and 316 stainless steel. “B” design, and “D” (zero leakage) design valves are available in polymer-coated stainless steel.
