Maxell is the first company in Japan to successfully market button-type silver oxide batteries. Based on many years of experience and know-how in various fields, the SR battery is suitable for precision electronic devices such as quartz watches, where high-energy density per unit volume and a stable operating voltage are required. Various product lineups are available to meet the growing need for supplying power to various types of watches, ranging from large to compact, thin models.
Flat discharge characteristics
A flat discharge curve during discharge supplies a stable voltage until the end of the discharge life.
High-energy density
High-energy density per unit volume provides approx. twice as the amount of energy capacity as button-type alkaline batteries.
Excellent discharge load characteristics
Employing an alkaline electrolyte, the SR battery features excellent discharge load characteristics. Depending on the composition of the electrolytes, two models are available; (1) a low-drain type for analog watches, and (2) a high-drain type for multi-function watches incorporating an alarm, illumination light, etc.
Superior leakage resistance
Featuring Maxell's original leak-resistant processing, the SR battery has excellent leakage resistance, which suppresses the electrolyte from rising up and seeping out - a basic phenomenon of alkaline electrolytes.

The switches of sources of automatic feeding and without cut aim to ensure the automatic passage of a renewable energy source (solar or wind) on source EDF and vice versa without
interruption of food for the user.
These systems are addressed to any site equipped with a means of production of renewable energy (solar panel or wind mill) which is not connected to network EDF.
Consequently, no administrative authorization is obligatory for their installation.

The stand-by battery system - a vital part
In the event of a power failure, battery systems are often used to provide standby power for important items of equipment such as protective relay systems, circuit breakers and monitoring devices - all of which require standby power during power outages.
Electric power plants are equipped with many different types of battery systems. Here, the pumps that lubricate generator bearings are examples of equipment for which standby power is crucial.
Telephone exchanges must also be kept operating on standby power.
Computer systems depend heavily on standby power. Even a brief power outage can cause critical data to be lost. Recovering from such damage is often very expensive.

Description
Many on board installations consist of two or more batteries which supply power to 12 or 24V equipment separately from each other. Naturally, this means that the charge system also has to be divided. This makes a charger system more complicated because either the Mastervolt alternator or battery charger will have to recharge the batteries individually.
Best and safest results can be achieved by using a high-quality Mastervolt battery isolator for the tailored supply of charge current to several batteries. This reliable solution allows simultaneous charging of two batteries from an alternator and/or battery charger without connecting the batteries together. Because of this the charge current becomes isolated, meaning it is prevented starter batteries and the ones supplying the lightning and bowthruster drain each other while output is optimal.

Cabinets
Compact-Power™ cells and monoblocs are suited for installation in cabinets in an office environment due to reduced hydrogen emission, absence of acid fumes and other nuisances.
Battery cabinets require however attention in terms of electrical safety and adequate heat dispersal. Again the European Specification EN 5001:1:1993 gives the necessary background for planning and operation.
Accu Oerlikon can supply a selected range of cabinets. Compact-Power™ cells and monoblocs can, of course, also be installed in customer's cabinets. In this case again an intensive dialog with our Technical Sales department is advisable so to assure proper installation and operation procedures.
