LiftPower flat belts
LiftPower flat belts are used where objects have to be moved:
in lifting units: for vertical transport of motor vehicles,
in high-bay warehouses, as a replacement for chains and steel cables
in scissor table lifts: as replacement for hydraulic cylinders
Benefits and properties:
- The belt structure, made of polychloroprene rubber enables higher speeds while reducing noise as compared with chains and cables.
- The tensile members are protected against external influences since they are embedded in polychloroprene.
- Easy installation via clamping joints.
- Paint-compatible model available on request.
- The very low thickness tolerance of +/-0.13 mm produces an even distribution of force in the belts when several belts are wound simultaneously.
- LiftPower belts operate on flat and crowned pulleys. Special profiles are not required. The flexible design of the LiftPower enables significantly smaller pulley diameters as compared with conventional belts.
- LiftPower flat belts are maintenance-free; no re-tightening or lubrication required.

Construction:
- Raw edge construction, ground.
- Narrow cross-section.
- New, optimised notch profile reduces and evenly distributes thermal and bending stresses. Notch depth is in proportion to the crosssection to ensure perfect stability.
- Precision-ground sidewalls give a uniform wedging action.
- Fibre-loaded elastomeric compound withstands heat, ozone and sunlight.
- Flex-bonded polyester tensile cords are vulcanised as one solid unit, increasing the belt’s resistance to tensile and flexing forces.
- Double Flex-Weave® textile backing protects the belt against wear — especially when back idlers are used.
- Cross-cords improve belt stability.
- Even with severe slippage, the belt will not catch fire from heat buildup.
Advantages:
- The most powerful belt in Gates’ industrial V-belt range.
- Excellent performance/cost ratio.
- Increased transmission efficiency as compared to other V-belt types.
- Cost and space savings.
- Maximum belt life reducing maintenance time.
- Match system: all sizes meet Gates UNISET tolerances.

Hole Patterns & Shapes
Vacuum Belts provide positive holding power for very light weight products, such as paper, plastic film and fabrics. Hole size and pattern (percentage of open air) can be modified to meet the application’s need. There are endless possibilities. There are some standard patterns available, but usually each unique application requires its unique hole pattern. A simple drawing with dimensioning is all that is required to have a die made for perforating. Please contact our Technical Department.
Note: For vacuum applications, it is possible under certain circumstances, to extrude urethane timing belts with cord spacing that allows for placing the holes between cords so that the cords are not cut during perforation.

Urethane Belts
Open-ended roll lengths can be thermally welded to almost any required length, or fixed end to end with our clamping plates. Truly endless is the strongest construction, recommended for drive and high torque applications.
Urethane Construction and Teeth Molded integrally the urethane protects the cords and provides a strong, flexible and excellent wear-resistant
belt. Various urethane compounds are available depending on construction. To ensure correct engagement with the pulley grooves, the teeth are precisely formed and accurately spaced. They are precisely located so that the tooth root line lies substantially on the pitch line; thus the tooth spacing of the belt is not altered by flexing.
Low friction nylon fabric on the tooth and/or back side, is available on thermal weldable urethane

One piece molded profiles and belts are integrally molded using high performance thermoset urethane. The profile and belt are molded as one, using a centrifugal, heat cast processing method. This type of construction removes the necessity for any additional fabrication. This process provides a wide range of material characteristics specifically formulated to suit your application, and the flexibility to test and evaluate various compounds. Even with an initial one time engineering service charge, this is the most economical method of producing high quantity, high quality requirements for profiled belts.
Advantages
- Strongest Profile - shear strength
- Profile design is very flexible
- Wide range of profile hardness
- Dual durometer belt and profile available
- Exact profile pitch and spacing tolerance
- Available in FDA, USDA approved materials
- Profiles can be positioned extremely close
- Uniformity & reliability, every belt is the same
- Custom urethane lubricity agents to alter the coefficient of friction
- Anti-static or static conductive properties available.
- Endless selection of colors for the belt and/or profile.

BRECO® and BRECOFLEX® timing belts are perfectly suited for the transport of the most varied goods. For whatever transport purpose the timing belt is to be used - the back of the belt can be fitted with any number and order of welded-on flights.
Weld-on flights Production of timing belts and flights, as well as the welding on of the flights are carried out in our factory. These flights are made of polyurethane, the same high quality materials as is used for the timing belt itself.
Our offer includes more than 2600 flight shapes. Depending on the customer's requirements and within the framework of our production means, these flight shapes can be freely adapted to the product to be transported and the special purpose.
|
|
The coating of our BRECO®- und BRECOFLEX® timing belts with various materials provides a variety of application possibilities in transport technology.
Coated timing belts The selection of the correct coating material depends on the properties of the goods to be transported and the required grip, such as, for instance, high friction to ensure a good carrying effect or low friction to reduce the transmission power.
To meet specific transport applications, the tooth side and/or the transport side can be mechanically reworked.
