The BHS-Belt Filter can be used for separating sedimenting and abrasive solids from suspensions with little wear. The various filtrates are separated exactly and without intermixing. If required, the filter cake can undergo further treatment in the form of multiple reverseflow washing, suction drying or pressing.

Dual Belt Filters
These are sludge dewatering devices that apply mechanical pressure to a chemically conditioned slurry, which is sandwiched between two tensioned belts, by passing those belts through a serpentine of decreasing diameter rolls. The machine can actually be divided into three zones: gravity zone, where free draining water is drained by gravity through a porous belt; wedge zone, where the solids are prepared for pressure application; and pressure zone, where medium, then high pressure is applied to the conditioned solids.
Typically, a belt filter press receives a slurry ranging from 1 - 4 % feed solids and produces a final product of 12 - 35 % cake solids. Performance depends on the nature of the solids being processed.
Typical Applications:
- Food processing wastes
- Pulp & Paper wastes
- Chemical sludges
- Pharmaceutical wastes
- Industrial waste processing sludges
- Petrochemical wastes

Working:
Dirty fluid is fed under pressure in to inlet manifold. It is distributed equally in 4 different plates. Filter papers clamped & supported between plates separate the dirt & form a layer (cake). This effects finer filtration. The same filter with pre-coating can add further to fineness of filtration.
Applications:
Suitable as centralized fine coolant filtration for finish grinding, filtration of high viscosity grinding fluids & filtration of honing oil with pre-coat arrangement.
Features:
Very large filtration area is accommodated relatively small dimensions. The unit shown is having 10 m2 filtration area.
Totally automatic pneumatically actuated operation.
Dirt is purged with compressed air to recover fluid.
Low initial & operational costs.

General description
HOFFMANN belt filters operate on the gravity filtration principle. Depending on the level of filtering required, filter paper with differing degrees of porosity are used.
These filters cleanse emulsions and low-viscosity oils used in machining of steel, castings, aluminum and other nonferrous metals. We recommend using stainless steel models when handling aggressive fluids, such as wastewater and chemicals.
|
|
|
We manufacture vacuum filters which use consumable filter paper for filtration. These vacuum filters can effectively handle viscous fluids up to 40 Cst. They require lesser space as dirty fluid tank and filter are together. They can easily be designed to handle much larger flows & dirt quantities. They use pump suction vacuum for filtration in addition to gravity head available. Pressure drop used is about 4 m of fluid column. Hence gathers more dirt layer to perform much better than all types of gravity filters.

Provides brick wall type minimalisation of
spurious low frequency phenomena that may
otherwise invalidate data from piezo-electric
sources. Supposed vibration acceleration signals
may contain thermal and strain induced noise
elements, both constrained to the low frequency
end of the spectrum by reason of thermal mass
and the 1/fo
2 relationship between acceleration vs.
displacement respectively.
The filter of course acts as the boundary fo,
between valid data (>fo) and this type of noise.

Maxim provides a wide range of anti-aliasing and post-DAC filters that improve system performance for frequencies up to 300kHz and complement Maxim's ADC and DAC product lines.

This FM rejector filter is used to filter out unwanted excessive FM frequencies in your OATS, or other EMC testing facilities.
These frequencies can interfere with your test set-up, spectrum analyzer bandwidth etc.
Caution should be used if your products emissions are in this filter's frequency range as it will reject them as well.

Bandpass filters are optical elements that are designed to transmit a specific spectral band with high efficiency, while reject others. The characteristics of the bandpass are controlled by multilayer dielectric coatings

Photon etc. helps to break new frontiers by approaching an excitation wavelength to as close as 10 cm-1. The Top Notch Filter is by far the narrowest notch filter in the industry, ideal for high efficiency simultaneous collection of low wavenumber Stokes and anti-Stokes signals.

PetroXtractor®: Oil Skimming for Wells and Other Small Openings with Large Vertical Drops
The Abanaki PetroXtractor is a dependable and cost effective means of removing oil, fuel, and other floating hydrocarbons from water where access to the fluid surface is limited. It provides efficient remediation of groundwater contaminated by oil, using existing recovery and monitoring wells. Often, the PetroXtractor working alone will reduce oil or fuel content to an acceptable E.P.A. level. Models are available for two inch, four inch, and six inch or larger ID well casings, with removal rates up to 12 gph. (based on SEA 30 motor oil). Depths of 100 feet or more can be accommodated without the use of pumps.
The PetroXtractor is an oil skimmer that makes use of the differences in specific gravity and surface tension between oil and water. These physical characteristics allow the unit's continuous belt to attract floating oil in the well. After picking up the oil, the belt travels over the head pulley on the drive unit and through tandem wiper blades. The oil is then scraped off both sides of the belt and discharged through a 1-1/4" ID hose.
The PetroXtractor can be installed in existing wells by mounting it on a flat surface above the well casing. Skimmer operation consists of merely lowering the belt and tail pulley into the casing until the pulley is fully immersed, placing the discharge hose in a container, and switching the unit on.
- Ideal for removal of floating oil and other hydrocarbon liquids from existing remediation or monitoring wells
- Elevates skimmed oil 100 feet or more for discharge into 55 gal drum
- Removes up to 12 gph of oil from water

The Tote-It's patented design is a dependable and effective means of removing oil from water. The single assembly unit can be used in any application where 115 VAC, 60 Hz power is available.
Oil skimming makes use of the differences in specific gravity and surface tension between oil and water. These physical characteristics allow the belt to attract oil and other hydrocarbon liquids from the surface of the fluid.
The Tote-It is especially well suited for parts washing and machining center applications. By removing surface oil from a wash tank, the parts will not be recontaminated as they are withdrawn. Removing tramp oil from a coolant tank prevents excessive smoke and fumes due to oil burning during cutting operations. It also reduces bacteria growth in the tank, along with the resulting odor.
Features
- Most inexpensive way to remove oil from water
- Tote-It is easily hand carried to the source of the problem
- Saves coolants by removing tramp oil
- Conserves parts wash water and prevents recontamination of parts as they are removed from wash tank
- Prevents plugging of spray heads and filters
- Reduces fluid disposal costs andhelps meet government requirements for water discharge
- Skimmed oil can be recycled and reused as a lubricant or fuel
Advantages
- Multiple site usage easily moved from one place to another
- 36 lb., single unit portability
- A single unit elevates and separates oil
- Effective in turbulent fluids
- Can be used in tanks as shallow as a few inches
- Requires no tank modifications in most applications
- Maintains skimming efficiency in fluctuating fluid levels
- Easy mounting and fast cleaning, with minimal maintenance
