The TURBObend metal folding system is the perfect machine for the roofing and architectural market. It bends mild steel blanks with a thickness of up to 1.5 mm.
With the revolutionary RAS programming the operator can use his finger as a pencil. He simply paints a flange and sizes it to the right dimension and angle. He can see the shape of the finished part on the screen. The CADalyzer automati-cally creates the program using the part drawing. A bend sequence simulation shows if the part can be produced. The CADalyzer shows the program, the fin-ished part and the actual bend sequence all at a time.
The folding beam moves at blinding 80 degrees per second. In addition the upper beam clamps the part starting from 120 mm in only 1.8 seconds. The machine automatically adjusts for material thickness changes without operator involve-ment.
The 1000 mm backstop and sheet support system positions the blank in less than 2 seconds to any dimension. This allows the parts to be created quick, accurate and repeatable, and saves all the marking operations that are still common in some companies. |

The ROBObend-Center integrates a folding machine with a robot. The innovative software integration design automatically programs the robot using the part program data. As in all folding technology, the blank remains in a horizontal plane during the entire folding cycle. The ROBObend-Center uses simplified material handling to be much more productive.
Mounted onto a linear axis, the robot gains additional work area. The robot directly feeds the material into the machine. Optical sensors measure the position of the part and sends feedback to the CNC so that the robot can instantly correct any inaccuracy. After the blank is parallel to the bend line, the "CNC freezes the robot". All six robot joints will be locked in position. This seventh axis now moves the robot forwards and back in order to bend flange-by-flange with perfect accuracy.
When the robot positions the blank, it is in an extremely stretched position. The ROBObend-Center therefore can run sheet sizes of up to 3000 x 1500 mm and can fold sheet thicknesses of up to 3 mm.
When the part needs to be flipped RAS uses an innovative method. Where re-gripping stations are usually needed, the ROBObend-Center robot can position the part to the bend line, holding it from either the top or bottom of the part.

With unmatched acceleration/deceleration the Pullmatic 720 will revolutionize your fabrication capability. You can punch sheets up to 1500 x 3000 mm without reposition in 8 mm material. The punching force is 220 kN optional 300 kN, maximum table speed is 128 m/min and the maximum hit rate is 505 l/min on 25 mm centers, this is truly the fastest punching machine existing today.
Closed, Rigid Frame
The machine frame is of a portal design. Top and bottom frame members consist of two fully closed, all-welded, box beams. Together with two risers and two draw bolts, each with a pretension of 44 tons, they form a closed portal frame. The portal frame minimizes frame deflection, allowing greater precision in punching while substantially reducing tool wear and lowering the noise level. The portal frame also provides greater ability to absorb side loads, which is common in step punching and forming operations. |
