Depending on the products and the volumes, Engels has had a number of transport bins, pallet boxes, 2-wheel containers and 4-wheel containers equipped with a UN hallmark for class I and II substances. A combination is often made of a durable container with a plastic bag.

Distribution bins are bins which are used for transport between two locations. The bins are nestable, which means they fit into each other when empty. This can result in 70 percent saving in space.
The bins come equipped with lockable lids. All distribution bins can also be stacked on each other, if necessary using extra stacking braces. The bins are strong and we can fit them with many accessories like an indelible imprint, a label holder or dolleys.

Nestable containers
Returnable plastic storage boxes have vastly replaced one-way packaging systems. The Small Box-System has been developed based on the specific requirements of the automotive industry. The system simplifies the component flow between suppliers and assembly plants, or can be used to transport and store your products within your facility. The container line is also suitable for applications in several other industries, such as retail (food and clothing).
The small plastic storage boxes are designed to stack on one another (resting on the closed lid) when filled, for efficient storage. The empty container lids fold back and out of the way to allow the storage boxes to nest when empty. Top panels are permanently attached to eliminate lid loss and tracking. When nested for return or storage, the empty plastic storage boxes take up to 80% less space for reduced transport and storage costs.
They feature a smooth, clean design that provides maximum internal storage space and ensures a broad usability. This also makes the containers easy to clean. They are available in modular sizes 800 x 600, 600 x 400 and 400 x 300 mm all with a height of 200 mm. This means that they can be mixed and matched on a standard pallet without effecting stacking performance. The 600 x 400 lid can also be used to cover two 400 x 300 containers.

DELTA MEC CONTAINERS
DELTA MEC 400 X 300 Ultra-robust containers made of shockproof material immune to acids and solvents and resistant to damp. With a lid that sits on or slides onto the top and a full base (models 3, 6 and 9) or honeycomb base (models 12, 17, 22 and 32).
DELTA MEC 600 X 400 These shockproof containers immune to chemical agents and damp use the whole surface of the standard European pallet and optimise the internal space by using vertical walls. Stackable and with open or closed handles, they are recommended for pharmaceuticals or small metal products and are also available in non-toxic materials for foodstuffs or in conductive material for electronic components.

Lidded Field Crate
Lidded Field Crates are the durable alternative to wire-bound containers that cause injuries, loose their shape and won’t stack when heavily packed-out in the field with products such as spinach. A unique folding and detachable hinged & locking lid can be stored inside the body without reducing nestability for empty storage. These well ventilated containers allow quicker cooling and complete drainage and won’t absorb moisture or bacteria from the environment.
The inter-play between hinge and lid acts like a lever to help pack more produce and/or ice inside the container. Even with heavy pack-outs, the container base, reinforced rim and the lid retain their shape for positive stacking between the crates. Wide ergonomic handles ease grasping and lifting in any orientation.

Lidded crate 5121 has been specifically designed for intensive distribution of books and magazines. The cover is equipped with studs and the bottom of the crate has corresponding recesses. Because of the fit between the studs and the recesses, these crates are very stable and strong when stacked. The almost straight crate walls offer an optimal storage space. The ergonomic design ensures optimal mechanical and manual handling. The volume gain is 64% when these crates are nested. The crates thus take up little space during return transport and in storage.

The patented Rehrig Pacific Bag-In-Box is a rugged and dependable reusable replacement for one-way corrugated syrup bag cartons. A better solution for handling syrup bags, the plastic Rehrig Bag-in-Box lidded crate is engineered to keep bags clean and protected during storage and transit. Produced from premium grade high-density polyethylene (HDPE), the box has strength and integrity. The integral split lids provides overhead cover and the smooth interior walls and bottom support and contain syrup bags.
The Rehrig Bag-In-Box has a unique inclined bottom that promotes even syrup flow until the bag is completely empty. The carefully designed spout opening protects quick connect devices (QCD) during transport, but allows easy access and proper restraint when needed for service. Bag-In-Box crates inter-stack and nest 3:1 when empty so they can be used with or without metal racks saving valuable room in crowded storage rooms and spaces. In addition to the standard lidded crates, CurTec also offers lidded crates which carry the UN mark. This indicates that the crate has passed a drop and stacking test. In order to obtain the UN mark, the crates must pass the following strict tests: a drop test from a height of 1.80 metres with the crate cooled down to -18°C, a 24-hour stacking test up to a height of 3 metres at an ambient temperature of 30°C. During these tests, the seal on the lid must remain intact. This packaging certification is required for the storage and the transportation of certain hazardous goods.
