One of the fundamental principles of material handling is the concept of unit loads. A unit load is a number of items arranged and restrained as one unit to be moved or handled at one time. The main advantage of using unit loads is the capability of handling more items at a time and reducing the number of trips, handling costs, loading and unloading times, and product damage.
Containers and pallets are two of the most common materials handling equipment. They are used to provide the right amount of material at the right place, the right time and for the right cost. Just-in-time programs, particularly in the automotive industry, mean that the combination of containers for parts distributed on pallets has gained increasing popularity. The rigid pallet container industry is also growing due to the size, cleanliness and reliability of the products available.
Hygienic, strong and stable, our rigid pallet containers offer a robust packaging system, which can be used again and again. They are ideal for heavy-duty distribution applications: handling, storage, and shipping, and are suitable for the shipment of manufactured goods and parts of virtually any description. The pallet containers maintain the same consistent low weight, wet or dry, and can even be used in precision check weighing systems.
Rigid pallet containers do not fold down, unlike other containers. They are designed with rounded rims and corners, which mean that they are easy to keep clean and ensure maximum load capacity and protection of goods. Accessories include access doors, castor wheels, skids and lid as well as drain plugs and taps. Perforated sides and base can also be specified.
All of our rigid pallet containers are automation friendly, to assist the high-speed environment of many of today's production systems. They improve space efficiency and help maximise the number of containers in a load. Our Big Box pallet container range has straight, smooth double-skinned walls, which give it a large internal volume.

General description :
Construction is similar to Scienceware H50025-0000. The rear panel and cover can be easily detached and replaced without tools. Velcro closures are used to attach the rear cover which overlaps the opening by 51mm (2") on all four sides. The integrity of the box and its atmosphere are preserved by a gasket on all four sides of the unit. Dimensions: 91cm (36") wide x 51cm (20") deep x 66cm (26") high. Rear panel opening 50cm (19 1/2") wide x 34cm (13 1/2") high.
