| With safety becoming an increasingly important factor in the design and manufacture of equipment, it has become necessary to add a professional brake to many critical machine functions. In response to that concern, White Drive Products offers the BK10 Series brake. All internal components, including suppliers of roller bearings, brake disks, springs and professional seals were chosen for maximum durability. To further extend the life of the unit and reduce noise, all internal components run in an oil bath. Two brake release ports are also provided to simplify plumbing and bleeding of the brake release circuit during installation. All of these features combine to make the BK10 Series brake the top choice for any static brake application requiring 10,000 lb-in of holding torque. |
|
| Spring applied safety brakes offer high operational security for all applications, protecting personnel, machines and equipment, reliably braking for positioning or holding duties or for sudden machine stops for emergency OFF or power failure. We have developed as the technology leader in the field of safety brakes by developing optimised solutions for a wide product range. |

The SITEMA Safety Brake type KSP is designed to hold a vertical moved mass in one direction (against gravity). The holding is done on a round shaft. This could be an already existing cylinder rod or a separate rod. The Safety Catcher can also be used to catch the falling load in case of an emergency-stop. The holding force is relatively big in one direction (downwards) and in the other direction (upwards) relatively small.
Safety brakes are already used in the following applications
- vertical or diagonal station tool axes
- vertical axes of loaders

The following calipers give various examples of the "spring applied, hydraulically released" professional brake range. Often described as "Safety brakes" these units are typically installed and controlled as automatic safety systems on such machines as escalators, elevators, conveyors manufacturers, mine winders and cranes.
Options include; adjustable torque control, automatic pad wear adjustment, monitoring devices, discs, hubs, hydraulic psus and pedestal mounting kits.
|
|
The following spring applied, pneumatically released brakes are but a small example of the choices available. These brakes can be conveniently hooked up to shop air supplies or powered by seperate industrial compressors. Most include convenient features such as; automatic pad wear adjustment, torque adjustment, quick change pads, modular design and easy maintenance.

Safety brake for Elevators - Elevation Line
The ELEVATION LINE is comprised of DC operated spring applied single-disc and double disc brakes which comply with the requirements of the European standard EN 81 (safety requirements to be observed in the construction and installation of elevators). Owing to the patented safety concept, the usual checks concerning the double-circuit system of spring-applied brakes can be omitted during the technical approval of the elevators.
The brake is ideally suited for use in space restricted environments where compact systems comprising of a motor, gearbox and brake are required. The ELEVATION LINE is preferably used in the field of industrial elevator construction, but it is also ideal for other applications characterised by stringent requirements in terms of brake safety.

Twiflex VMS-DP Mill Professional brake Stand. One of four units supplied to Metso Minerals for use at the Telfer Mine, Australia. The two units combined produce 16Million NM of brake torque!
The VMS-DP Mill Brake brakes will be installed on SAG (semi-autogenous grinding) Mills used for the extraction of copper and gold from virgin rock. Fresh ore is continually conveyed into the mills that are pre-charged with various sizes of steel professional balls, crushing the rock when the mill rotates. The ore is crushed until small enough to pass through the openings in the discharge professional grates. The material is then conveyed to a secondary Ball mill for fine grinding.
The brakes which are used for emer-gency stopping and holding have been designed specifically for this application and will be the largest that Twiflex has ever manufactured. The VMS-DP caliper is approximately the size of an office desk and weighs approximately 2 metric tonnes. Each brake produces 768kN of braking force, 4-6 calipers provide braking to each mill flange.

| Modern cutting techniques produce a wide range of harmful by-products (water, dust, chips and shavings...). ASP covers are made of industrial textiles specially designed to resist such conditions. They are tailor-made specifically to fit into this work environment perfectly. |
|
ASP'S FOUNDRY COVERS are made of special (aramid-based) coated industrial textiles. These coatings give the complex used the required mechanical and heat-resistant properties to operate satisfactorily in the conditions generated in foundry-work (high fire rating, tear resistance...) The covers are made-to-measure and used covers repaired in our workshops to make sure your industrial robots always have optimum protection.

MECHANICAL HANDLING
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The environments in which mechanical handling robotics work very considerably. Thanks to over 18 years experience in all sectors of industry, ASP offers the perfect protection for your industrial robots that will take your specific conditions fully into account: environment, operating times, on-site washing... |
|
ASP'S WASHABLE COVERS are made of industrial textiles coated on one side only. This ensures that they can be successfully washed (in water or solvent) and thus used for a number of years. Satisfying your detailed requirements in full, our tailor-made design ensures maximum efficiency without restricting the industrial robot's movements in any way. The covers can be changed (taken off and refitted) quickly, with no tooling required. This enables you to maintain high productivity. The covers we supply all meet the acceptation criteria for paint-shops in full (no silicon-type non-stick agents...).

The ASP covers in our material Neolis/TNCA are suitable for contact with foods (FDA)
ASP "High Tech"covers are made using technical fabrics with specific coatings. The "tailor-made" design provides maximum efficiency without limiting professional robot movements. The time required to replace a cover remains compatible with your productivity. The covers in our material TNCA or NEOLIS offer you the following advantages :
Excellent level of resistance in food grade processes (and especially daily washing).
Washable cover on the robot.
Ventilated or pressurized cover.
Our material TNCA : according to the FDA 21 CFR Ch. 1 list (4.1.1996 Edition) § 177.2600.
Our material NEOLIS : according to the FDA 21 CFR Ch. 1 list § 177.1600. |

| The very different requirements created by the various welding techniques mean that specific products have to be specially developed. The industrial textiles we use have specific coatings that leave the cover flexible but resist spatter and welding projections. Their para-aramid base has excellent mechanical resistance. Whatever the technique you use: arc welding, spot welding, laser welding... ASP has the perfect cover specially adapted to your exact situation. |
