The SL-EC Series brushless disk motors have a flat construction, are maintenance-free, and are available with a wide range of rated voltages.
The rotor, which is equipped with magnets, can be operated as a direct drive that is sealed off from the surrounding environment. This makes them ideal for compact and robust customer-specific solutions.

Empire Magnetics' family of vacuum rated motor/resolvers bundled with a drive system are ideal for efficient closed loop motion control applications. Empire Magnetics' brushless motor with a resolver form a single rugged component suitable for hostile enviromnents. Drive electronics can be removed and controlled from a more hospitable location via RS-232.
Motor Features:
These motors can accomodate rapid acceleration and deceleration. The brushless construction is made for reliability. The brushless resolver can be used as the feedback device. There is high torque to inertial ratio and stall torques from 14 to 451 lb-ins. The unique structure allows maximum power ratings, anti cog design and long life bearings.

As part of the wide range of AC servomotors proposed by Sanyo Denki, we have identified a series of models, carefully selected from among the most interesting for the Motion Control market, that can be coupled with RS1 drives.
The main characteristics of the motors are listed below:
P2, P3 and Q1 Series Motors: very compact, low inertia. Ideal for applications involving quick acceleration and fast positioning.
P5, P6 and Q2 Series Motors: compact, medium inertia. Ideal for applications in which the load inertia exceeds the motor inertia. Very smooth rotation, even at very low speed.
IP protection degree: IP43 to IP67 (according to the different models).
Power range: 50W to 3000W.
Maximum speed: 4500 rpm (3000 rpm for P5 1kW e P6 1.5kW).
Position sensor: incremental encoder on all models (A, -A, B, -B, C, -C). The real system resolution available is equivalent to 8000 step/rev.
Perfect behavior in overload conditions. E.g.: a torque equal to 200% of the nominal torque can be maintained for 10 to 20 sec. (according to the different models).
Proper management of any loads characterized by a level of inertia that far exceeds the motor inertia.
A complete map of all of the motor’s electrical features is stored in the R drives.

The RN-EC Series are direct drive, multipole, brushless DC motors with a single-sided wheel hub mounting. As well as the drive components, the motors include integrated drive and control electronics, and an integrated mechanical holding brake if required.
When arranged in pairs, the motors can communicate with each other and with a control device (e.g. joystick) using a CAN bus, providing a means for executing steering movements for the vehicle. Applications include: goods transport systems, flat bed carts, cargo trolleys, etc. The drive systems are also available with either handgrip or remote control options.
Single motors are also used as battery-powered, independent actuators for providing rotational and pivoting motion.

Proposed in three diameters, 145 ,190 and 300 mm with a large variety of position feedback: resolvers, encoders and a variety of shafts: hollow, blind or solid shaft. Rated torques cover a wide range between 14.8 Nm and 235 N.m, in natural convection, and the peak torque covers from 55 Nm to 1161 Nm. The motors can reach a rated speed up to 1500 rpm. These motors present an outstanding compacity with a continuous torque-to-weight up to 3.7 Nm/Kg and a peak torque-to-weight up to 18 Nm/Kg. Two windings are proposed as a standard: 500 and 1500 rpm for 145ST or 500 and 1000 rpm for 190ST and 200 and 800 rpm for 300ST. But the winding can easily be adapted to match your optimum drive rating.
