In the perfume and aroma industries there has been no satisfactory solution up until now for the accurate mixing of substances in powder form. When powders clot or form dust, this can lead to weighing errors, blocked valves etc. resulting in frequent production downtimes. And this is not even including the problematic conditions for safety at work due to the dust emissions.
With increasing frequency we were being asked by customers for powder dosing systems that would apply the dosing technology know-how for which our company is renowned, since FRICKE systems were mainly developed up until now for use with liquid substances.
Thus, the FRICKE PD1 powder dosing system was especially designed for use with the powders of the perfume and aroma industries. The system is equipped with a 4 kg scale (dissolution per 1 mg) and automates the production of 20 powder components.
The powders are stored in tightly sealed stainless steel containers with a 10 litre capacity. The containers can be equipped with different dosing elements and agitators according to the various powder characteristics. This allows a clot-free as well as dust-free processing of the powders - neither personnel nor machine systems are subjected to emissions.

The Speed Batcher is a unique batching system that can create batches ranging from 0.4 to 30 kg at very high speed. The Speed Batcher automatically weighs raw material into sub-weights, which are then selectively combined to form the best batch weight. This capability enables the Speed Batcher to outperform all conventional hopper systems in both speed and accuracy. The unit is fully automatic – from input to delivery.

WEIGHBATCH is a weighing and mixing dosing integrated system. This machine is suitable to treat in particular granular plastic polymers and with other specific accessories can be used also for plastic re-grounded materials having different and not regular sizes. The construction is compact to minimize the overall dimensions and satisfy the higher feed rates. This system has been planned to serve both the extrusion processes and also the injection and moulding ones. This machine is very easy to install thanks to its self supporting structure, which allows both to fix it directly on the plasticizing well and to earth in order to serve different points. It can treat up to a maximum of 8 ingredients; The principal ingredients are dosed through electro-pneumatic controlled slide gates, while the additives are dosed through screw feeders to obtain the maximum precision.

WEIGHBLEND is an ideal system to feed in continuous extrusion lines (blown film , cast, pipes and profiles ). This system is capable of dosing in continuous up to 5 polymers having a regular particle –size and checking in automatic mode the feed rate.
The use of this system is suggested starting from very low productions of 50 Kg/h and up to productions of 800 Kg/h and more. WEIGHBLEND can be equipped with an automatic weight/meter control. This has the purpose to keep constant in the time the weight of every meter of product which comes out from the line. WEIGHBLEND is constituted by a central gravimetric hopper for the principal ingredient and maximum 4 gravimetric dosing zones for the other ones. The machine has a self supporting structure which allows to fix it directly on the feeding well of the extrusion line.
Each dosing zone has its pre-storage hopper with interception slide gates electro-pneumatically controlled by the gravimetric logic.
The principal ingredient feeds directly for gravity the extrusion line, while the other ones are fed through screw feeders directly in to the feeding flow of the principal ingredient.

The feeders of the range “BH” are particularly suitable to dose with accuracy powder and granular materials. Their configuration make them in particular fit for materials with a great fluidity, preventing any possible “ siphon” effect; with the simple use of self-cleaning dosing screws,which are present in the standard range of accessories, is also possible the dosing of materials which are particularly sticky and plasticizing ones.

The feeders with vibrating channel mod. V are particularly suitable to treat fragile materials or materials which can not be treated with mechanical devices which could compromise their integrity. They are suitable for granular materials, pellets or short fibres, but can also be utilised with fluid powders with a low humidity grade. The dosing device is made of a steel channel which is installed on a electromagnetic vibrator with glass fibres springs and its dimensions depends on the materials to dose and the feed rates to make.
The gravimetric version has the machine installed on a weighing plate with loading cell or directly on a couple of loading cells through a proper support framework. Many different weighing devices are at disposal to satisfy every needs both for the dosing in continuous and for the batch one.

These machines are suitable to dose in continuous powder, granular and fibre materials. They are particularly suitable for fluid materials and can reach feed rates up to several tons per hour.
As belt feeders can be installed directly under a silo or pre-storage hoppers, while as weighing belts can be re-filled in continuous from other extractor machines such as screws, stellar valves other belts. These machines are equipped with a weighing bridge with loading cells and they can be also equipped with different control devices suitable to satisfy the most various dosing and weighing needs, both in continuous and batch.

This is an autonomous system used to convey pharmaceutical empty capsules. The machine is constituted by a loading hopper from which the capsules are pushed trough an adjustable straddle towards a destination cyclone using an integrated blower on board. All this is installed on a wheeled chassis which allows to position the system near the capsules machine. The finish degree and its functions are made in accordance to the pharmaceutical sector requirements.

The plan bottom extractor EFP is suitable to extract both very difficult materials for their grade of fluidity and for the controlled feeding of pneumatic conveying lines. It is entirely built in stainless steel AISI 304. the charging hopper is cylindrical and it has vertical walls to assure a good materials descent. The extraction device is made by a couple of blades shaped to ease the material flow towards the outlet which is positioned at a side. The transmission is connected with plan bottom which is independent and can be dismantled from the rest of the machine with nuts, this allow the complete emptying of the machine and its entire the cleaning.

The three phase loaders of the range “AT” are machines suitable for the pneumatic conveying of powder and granular materials. They have been planned in particular to transfer materials which have a various flowability, granular size and density. They can be used with feed rates up to some tons /h and distances of more than ten meters from the collecting point; the only exception is represented by fragile materials for which other types of machines, present in DS&M catalogue, are suggested. Their construction is compact and modular to allow an easy dismantling and to allow all cleaning operations after a material change. The range “AT” offers the possibility to choose among the accessories: hoppers with a carious capacity or mesh and cartridge filters in accordance to the various type of materials to transfer. The basic version is supplied with the a feeder which has a clapet valve at the outlet and it can also be arranged with an electro-pneumatic control when necessary. The standard machine version can be also supplied with an electro-pneumatic butterfly valve.

The single phase loaders of the range “AM” are the most suitable machines to transfer in pneumatic mode all type of powder or granular materials which have a different granular size and a good flowability and density but having a not very high granular size. The use of this range of machines is suggested with middle-low feed rates (less than 300 Kg /h) and short distances (not more than 10 mt. from the collecting point). To satisfy other requirements other types pf machines, present on DS&M wide catalogue are suggested. An important feature of this machines range is a compact and modular construction which allow an easy dismantling for all cleaning operations after a material change. This range offers a wide choice of accessories: hoppers with different capacities or mesh and cartridge filters this to satisfy all production needs. The basic version is supplied with a feeder which has a clapet valve at the outlet and can also be arranged with an electro-pneumatic control when necessary.

Inspection of glue bead dispensing
The products of Cordia range inspect the conformity of beads or glue application whatever their colour: extruded and fiberised beads and on all supports (sheet metal, aluminium, cast iron, glass).
The bead is inspected on all its length and for all the following characteristics :
- Continuity (glue lack or air bubbles causing interruptions)
- Width
- Position relative to references (distance to an edge, a hole... or position relative in the part benchmark)
- Height (3D configuration)

KBM® beveling machines are designed for one man operation. They are mounted on a spring loaded undercarriages incorporating alignment mechanisms which automatically compensate for uneven work surfaces. Gullco KBM® beveling machines self-propel during the beveling operation and continuously bevels plates of any length. The KBM-18 beveling machine can be secured to a bench for stationary operation.
All Gullco portable plate edge bevelers use a rotary shear cutting action to produce clean machined bevels with no thermal distortion. Gas Mixers
