This versatile time relay has 8 modes of operation, 9 timing ranges and a large easy to read LCD display with numerical information. The display carries a wide range of internationally understood annunciators to indicate all the modes, direction of timing and the status of the output at all times.
Simple programming via menu driven display.
- Large, easy to read LCD display.
- 8 timing modes: ON DELay (ON DLY), OFF DELay (OFF DLY), One Shot (OS) and Single Shot (SS). Repeat Cycle (RC) modes: Delay, Cycle, Symmetrical Delay and Symmetrical.
- 9 timing ranges from 0.2 seconds to 99999 hours.
- Internationally understood annunciators for operating modes, time units, low battery, relay output state and trigger type.
- Self powered with 10 year battery life or 10 6 operations (customer replaceable lithium battery).
- Opto-isolated inputs 12 - 260VAC or DC.
- Three different triggering mechanisms.
- Relay contacts rated at 8A, programmable to NO or NC.
- Environmental protection to IP65.
- CE approved, UL and cUL pending.
The timing input can be LEVEL TRIGgered, EDGE TRIGgered or EDGE RETRIGgerable. The essence of RE-triggering is that subsequent pulses on the timing input can start a new timing cycle. Time is on the Main Display and the Set Time on the lower display.

Timers are used in applications where time is the main focus. To make a process more efficient, effective or safe, timers are used to determine how long a machine has been running in order to schedule machine maintenance.
|
|
| The new 820 Series Time Delay Relays are DIN rail mountable products offering 10 different timing functions, 2 status LEDs, ultra-wide timing range (0.1 sec to 10 days) and a universal voltage input (12-240 VAC/VDC) all in one modular package. The 821 is available as a 15 amp SPDT timer while its counterpart 822 is available as a DPDT timer also capable of switching up to 15 amps per pole. |
|
Timers (elapsed time meters, hour meters) are used in applications where time itself is the main focus. These include simple knowlege of how long a machine has been running to determine machine maintenance. Examples include: filter change frequencies, elevator cable maintenance, and engine oil life indication. Timers generally have the ability to stop and then continue on from the point at which they stopped.
Electromechanical timers are perfect for applications requiring a readable display when no power is supplied. They are also resistant to tampering and harsh conditions, such as shock.
Electronic timers typically have a brighter display, and are more flexible. Many electronic timers have programmable time ranges and can be set to values other than 0 for replacement applications.
