| VFD is the acronym for Variable Frequency Drive, which has become a very popular method to adjust a motors speed. Frequency can be defined as an electrical term meaning power pulses of voltage and current. In the United States 60 Hertz, or 60-power pulse cycles per second, are conducted through most wires and cables throughout the country. As the power in the United States is alternating current (AC) each of these frequency cycles contain one positive and one negative power pulse of voltage and current. Increasing the number of power pulses per second will make the motor turn faster. Likewise, decreasing the number of power pulses per second will make the motor turn slower. Therefore by increasing and decreasing the frequency of the power pulses, the drive can adjust the speed of the motor. |

The semi-conductive material extruded over the cable’s copper forms a spike resistant barrier, eliminating the corona discharge normally resulting from voltage spikes, reflections, and power distortions. Unlike standard power cables, the enhanced VFD power cables are excellent for connecting variable frequency drives to motors, especially in applications that require a voltage rating of 1000 V/2000 V peak.
A 12x minimum bending radius allows the cable to flex and bend in both moderate flexing applications and confined areas. In addition, the cables offer superior oil resistance thanks to its orange PVC outer jacketing.
The OLFLEX® VFD-CT is rated for use in cable trays and features all the benefits of the OLFLEX® VFD. In addition, the cable is flame retardant, UV resistant, and meets NEC and NFPA requirements.
OLFLEX® VFD SLIM is a reduced diameter shielded motor supply cable for variable frequency drives. The materials used are designed to hold up to the non-linear power distortions associated with VFD drives. This cable has a specially blended PVC jacket that is approved for both UL and CSA standards for 600V. |

The Wire Booster assists the wire feeding between the pail pack and the wire-feeding unit of a robot welding system or a manual power source.The driving rollers of the Wire Booster are separated from the running motor through a magnetic clutch. The wire is fed by the magnetic clutch, as soon as the main drive of the robot employs force on the wire. Through this functional principle the Wire Booster does not necessarily have to be connected or synchronised with the main drive.Wire feeding problems can now be solved fast and without any unnecessary installation.

CWF-10B COLD WIRE FEEDERS:
Our most popular model, available with either a two or four roll drive system. The unit is designed for mechanized applications and is supplied complete with a wire guide positioner and control.
CWF-20C PRECISION COLD WIRE FEEDER:
Has all the features of the CWF-10B but utilizes a high accuracy drive motor and control with closed loop feedback to maintain the wire feed speed to within ±0.1% of the rated speed. Four drive rolls and a clear wire spool cover are standard features.
HWP-50D HOT WIRE FEEDER:
The hot wire system is used where high deposition combined with high quality are needed. Used with the GTAW (TIG) or Plasma process, the wire is preheated before it enters the weld pool.
