- Rubber grommets are constructed of SBR with an operating temperature range of -40°F (-40°C) to 221°F (105°C).
- SBR grommets have good water resistant characteristics and are suitable for most moderate chemicals and wet or dry organic acids.

Conventional methods of chamber entry for validation thermocouples allow only limited numbers of thermocouples to be used. They are relatively time consuming in their application and frequently prone to unacceptable leakage.
The TCEG/1 addresses both these problem areas by providing individual slots for 18 separate thermocouples and a rapid action, locking and securing mechanism.
By utilising a three part sealant arrangement the gland becomes a TCEG/2 with the opportunity of increasing the capacity to 36 individual thermocouples. Should even more thermocouples need to be accommodated, then a ‘Y’ adapter connected to the chamber entry port can double both these quantities.
For mounting onto the autoclave chamber the TCEG is supplied with a Tri-clamp flange with the option of having a 1½” or up to 2½” flange.
The gland body is machined from 316L stainless steel with the cap in CZ121 brass. Sealants are in medical grade silicone to Shore 40 hardness and in accordance with FDA USP Class VI.

HAST Feedthrough for Nickel Plated Copper Wires with Kapton® Insulation for Bias Measurement
Conax specializes in high quality wire sealing in demanding applications such as Highly Accelerated Stress Testing (HAST) typically done in the semiconductor industry. Cyclical temperature testing is hard on seals, wire insulation and on the wire itself from a corrosion standpoint.
This style feedthrough features nickel plated copper wire to minimize corrosion of the wires. It also uses Kapton insulation on the wires which stands up to steam and flexing much better than traditional Teflon insulated wires. The gland is rebuildable. After aging, the wires and sealant can be replaced, allowing the metal components of the body to be reused.
Each feedthrough is pressure tested upon initial manufacture, or upon being rebuilt, to insure a leak proof seal. They can be supplied with straight threads (bulk head fitting style) or with NPT threads or flanged connection.
