These cable glands are particularly suited to armoured cables used mainly in areas where British Standards apply. The new cable gland Series 8163 are available for non-armoured and all for all types of armoured & braided cables. They fulfil all requirements of the European ATEX-directives and of the relevant IEC and British Standards. Their modular design allows exact adjustment to the respective cable constructions.
In addition on the normal sealing of the cable sheath, secure clamping of the armouring is essential since this armouring is used, not only for mechanical protection, but also contributes to te electrical protection. If the armouring becomes "live" it works as a protection or earthing conductor and must, therefore, be connected reliably to the protective conductor system via the cable gland. These cable glands are available "Ex" equipment in both "increased safety" and "flameproof" enclosures.
Explosion protection to CENELEC, IEC
For use in Zone 1 and Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22
EEx d and EEx e versions
Versions for unarmourd, Single Wire Armour (SWA), Steel Tape Armour (STA), Wire Braid Armour
The cable glands Series 8161 are certified for use in "increased Safety" type enclosures. For entry intrinsically safe circuits a version with blue cap nut is available.

THE ATMOSPHERE IS ALIVE. EXPERIENCE VentGLAND
Pressure, temperature and air humidity are in a constant state of change. This is no problem for nature - but a major one for technology. This is because no matter how well sealed the casing is, there are still pressure differences to the outside environment as a result of these effects. Consequently, condensation begins and where water is, there may also be corrosion, electrical short circuits or other damage. Frequently, this leads to breakdowns, emergencies, or supply bottlenecks.
In the field of cable glands, WISKA now has created a solution that is unrivalled - VentGLAND.

New Progress EMC Series 85 cable gland
Low-impedance termination, variable shield tap through 360º with low transfer impedances
The development of the new cable gland – the Progress EMC Series 85 – had one primary aim: to improve the shield clamping area for each cable gland type significantly to give users more flexibility.
For this purpose a completely new collet chuck was developed. Ingenious segmentation of the collet chuck gives it optimal shield contact. The individual segments slide together when the cable gland is mounted to produce concentric shield termination (see figure). This guarantees vibration-proof implementation that is pull-out resistant.
These new, innovative EMC cable glands (patent pending) make it possible to cover a large shield clamping area with very few types.
Progress EMC Series 85 cable glands are ideal for high leakage currents. For this reason they are particularly well suited for use in power engineering, railway technology, and plant engineering among other areas.
The new type series includes M16 to M63 metrical versions for shield diameters of 3 - 44 mm and Pg 11 to Pg 29 for shield diameters of 6 - 33 mm; these are available from stock.

The AGRO cable glands for explosion-protected equipment are therefore suitable for most of the applications in explosion-hazardous motors, switch and control gears, housings etc. used in industrial fields such as in the machinery and automation industry, in the chemical and petrochemical industry.

CWLE type glands provide a seal on the outer sheath and an armour specific armour clamp for armoured cable. The armour clamp provides an electrical bond between the cable armour and the gland.

Design-A-Flange is an innovative modular system where inserts can be changed depending on your needs. You can design you own configuration based on how many openings you want, where you want them placed, and what type of seal you want to have. You are no longer forced to use a fixed flange with a certain number of pre-determined openings. You choose the configuration that suits your needs.
The push-out membranes ensures fast and easy installation without worries about achieving the correct IP-level. Should you want cable anchorage on certain cables then just install a Klikseal or a cable gland in the flange. If a cable no longer will be used you can seal the opening either by replacing the insert or cutting out the membrane and sealing the opening with one of our grommets.
Design-A-Flange offers a number of features that you cannot find in any other flange solutions
- Design you own configuration, with the right size openings, and right number of openings placed where you want them.
- Push-out membranes to make installation fast, easy and fool-proof.
- High IP-protection.
- No need to drill separate holes to install a Klikseal or a cable gland.
- The inserts are easily changed to adapt to new needs.
- Very easy to seal an opening that no longer will be used.

General description:
Roxtec Compact Seals provide protection against water, dust, insects and rodents for equipment in cabinets and enclosures. All frames, except for the C KFO frame, have integrated compression units. C frames are used together with standard Roxtec CM modules, 30 millimetre (1.181") deep, except EMC versions which use 40 mm (1.575") deep CM ES or PE modules. In some cases EEx versions are also available.
|
|
General description:
Roxtec regular frames are available in different designs and materials. The depth of the frames and modules is 60 millimetres (2.362").
The choice of frame depends primarily on the material used in the construction and the method of attachment. The frames can either be cast, bolted, welded or fitted into sleeves. Frames are also available for use in EMC and EEx applications.
|
|
General description:
EMC installations are used for shielded transits against electromagnetic disturbances. When using Roxtec B, G, S and SF frames we recommend choosing galvanized versions. If mild steel versions are used, make sure to remove any priming on the inside surfaces of the frames to achieve good electrical conductivity. For casting with B and G frames make sure the frames are properly connected to earth. See casting instructions. Roxtec EMC installations are made together with Roxtec RM ES, PE, ES B or PE B modules.
