Thanks to a meticulous control of the surfaces and curves to be cut out, the system determines the procedures of starter of entry and of exit, the cutting head has perpendicular to the points course determining the skeletal rules of work by the user.

ICEM CFD's Direct CAD Professional interfaces link the parametric geometry creation tools from major CAD systems directly with the mesh generation, mesh optimization, and post-processing modules available in ANSYS ICEM CFD. The direct cad intefaces provide higher quality geometry for mesh generation. They also are parametric enabling the user to update the Mesh when the geometry parameters change.
Common CAD interface licensing and development means that you can use you interface with any of the ANSYS tools such as Design Modeler, Simulation or CFX.
