The FASTCAM 1024 PCI is the world's first PC based mega pixel @ 1,000 fps camera is perfect for high speed PIV and DIC applications.
Utilizing the same super sensitive CMOS sensor used in the Emmy award TM winning ultima APX and ultima APX-RS cameras, the 1024 PCI offers true 10 bit images all the way to a top speed in excess of 100,000 fps.
The compact camera head is ideal for use in tricky to locate or hazardous locations and is supplied with both C and F-mount lens adaptors. A single flexible cable sixteen feet (5 meters) long connects the camera head to the PCI card which resides in either a standard desktop PC or more portable PCI cradle connected to a laptop.
Several different memory options are available; all fitting snugly against the card to ensure never more than a single PCI slot is required per camera system. Current options include:
Standard 2 Gigabyte (GB) for 1.54 second record time at 1,000 fps.
Enhanced 6GB for 4.61 seconds at 1,000 fps.
Expanded 12GB for 9.22 seconds at 1,000 fps (available Q1 2005)
Maximum 24GB for 18.44 seconds at 1,000 fps (available Q1 2005)
Despite the compact packaging, the 1024 PCI offers amazing bang for the buck with many of the features normally only available with much more costly systems, such as memory partitioning, variable speed/aspect ratios, over exposure protection, etc.

| The APX-i2 brings the many benefits of an intensified head to the ultima APX. Providing true mega pixel resolution (1,048,576 ten bit pixels per frame) to 2,000 frames per second (fps) and with gating down to twenty nanoseconds, the intensified head is swappable with either the monochrome or color camera heads on any existing ultima APX system; meaning one APX processor can support ALL three different camera heads without needing retuning or modification. Another real nice feature of the ultima APX-i2 is the ability to offset sequential frames by as little as one nanosecond. This enables cyclical events, such as inkjet printer operation to be recorded with one image per cycle, and as little time as a single nanosecond between frames to give an apparent equivalent framing rate of 1,000,000,000 fps at mega pixel resolution! For applications requiring a fast and truly cyclical framing rate, the APX-i2 retains the APX's ability to operate as fast as 120,000 fps and preserves all the features that have made the ultima APX the best selling mega-pixel camera in the world. |

OEM Solutions
When it comes to integrating vision or optical measurement capabilities into one's original equipment, picking separate components on the sole consideration of their state-of-the-art specifications doesn't make it right every time. When it makes it. What is of utmost importance, rather, is the supplier's skills in sorting out the very requirements that govern the final system performance and customizing the right solution for the right cost.

1.4 megapixel digital camera with 30 full frames
The new Baumer TXG14-fast digital camera is built for speed and supplies up to 30 full frames per second. This 1.4 megapixel Gigabit Ethernet camera was specially designed for fast processes that also require high resolution. Typical applications are in the packaging industry, for handling systems such as pick-and-place robots and in measuring technology.
Fast processes demand short and constant processing times within the camera. The TXG14-fast has a very short delay time between the trigger and the beginning of the flash and a fine setting of the exposure time in microsecond steps. These properties provide uniform brightness which is necessary for gray-scale analysis. With this new camera, Baumer fulfills the high quality demands of fast processes.
The camera has been tested according to the EMVA 1288 standard and has UL certification for the US market. It supports the GigE Vision and GenCam standards. All Baumer cameras can be simply integrated into an image processing software by means of the generic programming interface Baumer-GAPI - available for Windows and Linux.
