The BE-2/3/4 Monoblock are completely automatic machines designed for unfolding and erecting boxes. The folded boxes (flat) are kept separately from the machine motorized store and opened by suction cups. The same suction cups, acting together with an angular arm, longitudinally convey the boxes through the machine quickly grabbing the bottom flaps, folding them and so preparing the box for the sealing; in fact these machines are connected to a taping machine for the only bottom sealing: so the box is ready to be filled. All these machines are controlled by PLC Siemens.
|
|
The automatic case erectors F144/145/146 draw, erect and seal with adhesive tape the bottom flap of cardboard boxes, ready then to be filled, with a variable output between 500 and 800 boxes/hour according to the dimensions. The machine adjustments are simple and fast. They have been designed for easy use also by unskilled people. They do meet the CE regulations on safety.
- Metal grill guards only for mod. F144/4 - F144 - F145
- Control board with indicators of operation anomalies.
- Rotating air cylinders, individually controlled, for an optimal box squaring
- Suction cup carriage adjustable in height/width

The WF30 fully automatic case former / case erector overcomes the common variables involved in forming cases that are often associated with the quality of corrugated. It easily handles the common imperfections in corrugated that can disrupt the forming process, and this remote demand-controlled machine will effortlessly open and form your RSC, HSC or CSSC cases at 30 SPM.
The WF30 automatic case former has re-invented the toolless set-up, offering simpler, "user obvious" features that mean a quick and easy case size adjustments for packaging lines. Box one is ready to run without the use of tools or guide-books. A color-coded, tactile guide offers a more efficient, friendly system for operators.
Case forming is handled by the Pin & Dome mechanical mechanism and the pin adjustments can be easily released and re-inserted into any different position quickly without having to completely unbolt the mechanism. A new case squaring system, ensures accurate forming by checking squareness throughout the entire forming process. The Tilt-out Tape Head (for the tape version), minimizes downtime with the quick and easy accessed bottom tape head, for fast tape changes.
The WF30 is available for pressure sensitive tape case sealers or hot melt glue forming.

The KOCH carton formers are employed for production of a huge number of varying boxes by application of a stamped carton blank made of solid fibre board or corrugated cardboard. The carton blank is picked out of a magazine by vacuum suckers. Afterwards the carton blank is placed into guide rails. Horizontal, oblique or pallet magazines are available depending on demand. Individual tracks or dots of hot glue are applied on the glued joints during feed via forming tool.
After reaching the stopper the carton blank is pressed through the forming tool by a forming tappet, moulded in and glued together. The finished boxes are transported out of the machine via outfeed conveyor belt rising laterally or frontally out of the machine. The glue tracks are controlled via machine control. The adjustments for different formats can be entered directly on the user interface. Furthermore it is possible to employ crimp tools to form the carton blanks without using hot glue.
Advantages of this machine technology
- Different sizes and performance ranges allow the optimal selection of a carton former depending on particular demand.
- Change of forming tools is not required, because the tools are equipped with adjustable spindles. Only the forming tappet must be changed.
- Quick format change
- Drives via servomotor, resulting in easy adjusting on the control monitor and format optimized motions.
- State-of-the-art control technology via industrial PC with convenient operator guidance via touch screen. Optionally Siemens S7.
- Telephone connection for remote diagnosis

Bag Inserter Opens, Inserts, and Cuffs Bags Up To 18 CPM!
The Pearson B18 Bag Inserter is designed to automatically open and insert a plastic bag into an empty RSC. Tablock RSC. HSC, FOL, or Bliss style case, tray, or container at speeds up to 18 cases per minute. This Bag Inserter is an extra heavy duty, three shifts per day, dependable machine capable of handling a wide range of bags, styles, and sizes.
Flat or gusseted bags from presealed and perforated roll stock are fed to an opening station. A vacuum plenum secures the bag and the carriage opens the bag above the waiting case. A cuffing mechanism contains the bag and permits a mandrel to enter the bag and travel to the bottom of the container. Simultaneously, the cuffing mechanism cuffs the bag.
As the mandrel is retracting, the carriage closes to allow the vacuum plenums to secure the next bag, maximizing vacuum establish time. When the mandrel is retracted, the case is released to transfer out of the loading station.
For future capacity requirements, Pearson's BI18 is fully upgradable to the BI25 Bag Inserter for speeds up to 25 cases per minute.
Pearson's BI18 can either be positioned over an existing conveyor or one can be supplied by Pearson as an option. Case control guides and case indexer are standard. This machine is equipped with a fully enclosed guard package, complete with electrical interlocks. An Allen-Bradley6, PLC, PackML compliance, ULe Listed Control Panel, two bag roll stands, and inventory control photoeye at discharge are also standard.

Forming Machines
FRT500-FRT700 FRB500-FRB700
COMMON FEATURES
Tray-box forming cycle
a) the flat cardboard is picked from the magazine and placed on a bucket chain conveyor;
b) the box is shaped in the tray forming unit: the front flap is kept open;
c) the pre-stacked products are inserted into the box through its open side. The front insertion of the product allows the use of a container (a tray or a box) whose dimensions are equal to those of the product to be bundled. Accuracy in packaging results is guaranteed even with delicate products;
d) if the box has already been shaped, the insertion of the products is made by means of a pick & place unit;
e) lid is closed - either by tucking it in or by gluing it - at next station.
The FRB and FRT machines run step-by-step, making use of different stations, whose number varies according to the customer's requests.
A wide range of functions is available: product insertion, literature (or other eventual items) insertion, visual control of the whole product flow, ink-jet printing, tuck-in or hot-melt closure.
Different types of products and collations can be handled both with FTR - FRB.

HIGH QUALITY AND DURABILITY
The reliable erection of trays, highly accurate in form and dimensions, combined with very high machine efficiency, are the particular strengths of OYSTAR A+F's tray/case erectors.
Over 25 years experience and the continuing growth of field applications clearly demonstrate the extremely high quality and durability of OYSTAR A F's machines and their leading position in the international market.
The OYSTAR A F Speedline, for example, produces up to 60 trays/cases per minute, with absolute accuracy in form and dimensions, thanks to the utilisation of servo technology. It is their "core folding" concept that has enabled OYSTAR A F to combine the requirements of speed and accuracy. All folding and forming operations are carried out against rigid counter formers whereby all movements are either servo motor or cam driven.

The Pearson model CE70 Case Erector is essentially the same machine as the Pearson model CE60. However, we have designed the CE70 to fit into a smaller footprint to provide an alternative to those that do not have the space for an CE60.
Like the CE60, the CE70 sets the industry standard for case erecting at both medium and high-speeds. Its innovative design has been time-tested in packaging plants worldwide.
The CE70 can be configured many different ways. For medium speed applications you can configure your CE70 with various combinations of pneumatic and mechanical functions. Of course, if you want more speed and flexibility you can configure your CE70 with servo motors. The choice is yours.
Designed to Perform
Starting with a corrugated blank, the CE70 automatically erects and bottom seals a variety of case styles (see the CE70 Brochure for details.) Blanks are stacked on the 6-foot bed of the horizontal, high-capacity magazine. The case erector sends the blank through an automated folding and gluing process, where the flaps are perfectly sealed.
Reliability Plus
The Pearson CE70 Case Erector is engineered and manufactured for continuous, reliable performance. Every CE70 is supported by Pearson's team of service and technical support professionals who are available 24 hours a day, 7-days a week. Worldwide.
