The DXC-990P is a 1/2" type DSP 3-CCD colour video camera which incorporates Exwave™HAD technology - a new Sony technology that greatly improves camera sensitivity (F11 at 2000 lx) while reducing smear compared to previous CCD technologies. Using a C Mount lens and providing resolution of 850 TVL and a high S/N ratio of 63 dB, the DXC-990P is ideal for machine vision, industrial microscopy, digital photography, portrait proofing, webcasting, amusement rides, point of view (i.e., sports shooting,) and scientific image capture applications. The CoolView VHR is a high resolution CCD camera which has 4000x2672 pixels and interline transfer architecture which allows the CCD to operate without a shutter and at 100% duty cycle. The CCD has a high quantum efficiency of typically 45% @ 550nm.
The camera is deep cooled with DT of 35°C, and uses a Peltier with secondary air cooling. A water cooled version for deeper cooling is also available. The camera has a fast 10MHz readout rate with digitisation to 12 bits and also features a high dynamic range 16-bit mode. The camera features on chip binning and sub area readout.

SmartBlue Digital Cameras
The New SmartBlue digital linescan cameras incorporate the latest in photodiode array technology based on the industry standard Reticon devices with state of the art electronics and a robust industrial camera housing. The linescan photodiode array is a Pinned Photodiode Charge Couple Device which allows for high sensitivity, fast readout, while maintaining high dynamic range, and low image lag. The New SmartBlue cameras are cost effective high performance digital linescan cameras, and feature a CameraLink digital interface. These cameras feature geometrically precise photodiode CCD image sensor with 14 um square pixels with a resolution of 2048 pixels. This “next generation” array can achieve data rates up to 80 MHz with superior noise immunity, precise linearity, and high CTE. The SmartBlue digital cameras are designed for high line rate applications with low to moderate light conditions and where small size, and low cost are required. The two-point Flat Field pixel correction circuits give the user the flexibility of correcting video data to compensate for non-uniformities in lighting, lens, or CCD sensor variations. Adjustable gain and offset controls allow users to compensate for variations in illumination found in the “real-world” applications.
The robust design in conjunction with PerkinElmer’s ultra modern manufacturing techniques allows the SmartBlue™ camera to deliver consistent, reliable performance while the rugged industrial design metal housing provides the maximum protection in a variety of harsh environments and factory floor conditions.

The AVT Pike family consists of five fast and robust IEEE 1394b (S800) C-Mount cameras, which are equipped with highly sensitive high-quality CCD sensors. Each of these cameras is available in black/white with clear glas filter as well as in color with IR cut filter.
The cameras, operating in 14-bit mode, impress in almost any situation by their ability to produce highly sophisticated images. A wide selection of different resolutions between VGA and 5 MPixel (VGA, 1 MPixel, 1.45 MPixel, 2 MPixel, 4 MPixel and 5MPixel) leaves no wish unfulfilled and provides the right camera for all individual applications.
Due to its IEEE 1394b interface, it provides up to 62.5 MB/s and runs perfectly together with IEEE 1394a products in the same bus system.

Alta Features
The Alta Design Team worked hard over a two year period to bring this advanced degree of integration and performance to our valued customers. Alta set new standards for imaging performance, connectivity, cooling, compactness, cost effectiveness, and the elimination of external support electronics.
Like the AP and KX series, Alta is a platform, not a CCD or specific interface type. It is designed for a variety of CCDs, ranging from the smallest to those measuring 36mm on a side with 4096 x 4096 arrays.
The Alta platform comes in 3 optical apertures. The D1 systems contain the small-mid size CCDs and maintain C-mount back focal distance. The D2 systems contain larger CCDs up to 28mm on a side. Our D7 systems accommodate very large CCDs such as the Kodak KAF-16801E, KAF-16803, and KAF-09000 sensors. Our newest addition, the D9s, provide the same aperture for these very large CCDs, but provide deeper cooling.

Kappa introduces a new vision camera based on our modular high-performance platform with 14-bit digitization. The first model, the Zelos-02150 has a GigE Vision interface and offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080p and a frame rate of up to 30 fps. It fulfills all typical Kappa quality characteristics regarding hardiness and longevity.
The camera features several technical highlights. One of them is the 2/3” Kodak sensor KAI-02150, which supports 1080p and excels with an excellent dynamic range and the best image performance. A further plus is the high-performance GigE Vision interface. This creates a perfect combination of a high transfer rate (1 Gbit/s), a low-priced interface on the PC, inexpensive cabling with thin CAT5e cables up to 100 m (300 feet) and a standardized user-friendly communication protocol. The brilliant visualization of the smallest details with the lowest-contrast is the result of the numerous real-time signal processing functions based on a 14-bit digitization. Among the functions are adjustments of different exposure modes, read-out modes (e.g., binning, partial scan), frame rates, gain and exposure settings, measuring window functions, contrast and edge enhancement functions (e.g., histogram equalization), line and circular line generators and dynamic look-up tables. The color processing offers adjustments for the Bayer filter interpolation, color space transformation and color saturation. The modular camera platform can serve different sensors and signal interfaces and thus can fulfill the requirements for machine vision applications as well as applications in defense, aviation and medical imaging.

Camera Link is a manufacturer spanning standardized interface for the digital data transfer between camera and frame grabber. Due to high transmission bandwidth Camera Link is predestined for image processing tasks. Further advantages of Camera Link are easy integration and low priced cable concepts. The Kappa 12 Bit digital cameras with CameraLink interface are equipped with Camera Link interface and work according to the base configuration. The camera series is based on variable camera electronics, low power consumption, advanced circuitry, and an extremely rugged design with an excellent signal quality at the same time. The user can choose between color or black-and-white systems, high-quality CCD sensors by Sony and Kodak with megapixel resolution and various interfaces (FireWire/IIDC compatible, CameraLink, GigE).
Kappa CameraLink cameras offer bit rates from 1.5 GBit/s up to 2.7 GBit/s. Camera Link is a registered trademark of the Automated Imaging Association (AIA). New for version 1.2: „Power over CameraLink“. Image information is transmitted parallel to power. A CL frame grabber is always required. For each CameraLink camera a specific configuration file is required. CameraLink also provides RS232 data.
Cable lengths of up to 10 m are possible. Kappa DX camera systems are complete systems ready for installation. The camera series is based on variable camera electronics, low power consumption, advanced circuitry, and an extremely rugged design with an excellent signal quality at the same time. Bus standard IEEE1394 “FireWire”. DCAM stands for „1394-based Digital Camera Specification“. IIDC compability: FireWire cameras use the DCAM protocol which is a standard defined by the organization „Instrumentation & Industrial Digital Camera“. The cable lengths reach up to 20 m. Firewire-IEEE 1394a is supported by all operating systems. Peer-to-peer communication is possible. The bus system is bidirectional (sending and receiving data at the same time). The integrated power supply for FireWire cameras is 8 to 33 VDC, 1.5 A, max. 48 W. The bit rate is 400 Mbit/s for 1394a and 800 Mbit/s for 1394b. Addressing is automatically (no jumper settings). Kappa FireWire cameras (400 megabit/ 2 ports) are experts in the area of image acquisition. Progressive scan CCD, true color quality, megapixel resolution, excellent image quality, 12 bit digitization depth and user-friendly software environment characterize the FireWire cameras from Kappa. The customer can choose between 2/3, 1/1.8 and 1/2” CCD sensors, color or monochrome. The brilliant high fidelity color reproduction is achieved by the camera-internal Kappa color processing in real-time. With the standard FireWire interface, C-mount and the camera control software KCC you get a fully-equipped complete system for ready-to-use operation with computer and microscope. Kappa has successfully extended its camera range with Gigabit Ethernet cameras. The GigE CCD cameras allow cable lengths of up to 100m/330ft (CAT5E) and are available with various sensors; in color, monochrome or cooled versions, with megapixel resolution, frame rates of up to 30/90 Fps and „short trigger delay“ (6,75 micro sec.). The Kappa Software Pool offers three different tools: The camera control software KCC, the software development kit (sdk3) for integration into third-party software interfaces, and the application software KIB for standard measurement tasks. Special Kappa features like the camera-internal color processing and the camera-internal signature creation are also available for the GigE camera model range. The Gigabit Ethernet cameras are equipped with the Gigabit Ethernet interface GigE. There is no need for specific interface cards or expensive and complicated frame grabbers. Kappa Gigabit Ethernet Cameras are compatible with standard Gigabit Ethernet hardware. Bit rates of up to 1 Gbit/s are possible. Economic cables can be used (CAT 5e / CAT 6). GigE Vision enables cable lengths of up to 100 m. Progressive scan CCD, true color quality, megapixel resolution, excellent image quality, 12 bit digitization depth and user-friendly software environment characterize the Gigabit Ethernet cameras. The customer can choose between 2/3, 1/1.8 and 1/2” CCD sensors, color or monochrome. Vision components introduces the VCProfessional family, a current developed series of intelligent cameras suited even for highly demanding applications. The compact devices are freely programmable stand-alone image processing systems which can be integrated into almost any industrial facility. As all image recognition and processing functions are provided by the camera, no auxiliary PCs are necessary. The new Smart camera models are based on the tried and tested VC standard series and come equipped with technical enhancements: they feature both an RS232 and an Ethernet interface as well as high-performance Texas Instruments processors (400 MHz, 3,200 MIPS). With 32 MB RAM and 4 MB flash EPROM, the cameras have twice the memory capacity of their predecessor models. Additional storage memory is provided by a 128 MB SD card. Proven features, such as the cameras' VGA monitor output or their four digital inputs and outputs remain unchanged. Thanks to the real time operating system VCRT, the devices are able to multitask. Furthermore, they have a high speed trigger input that enables jitter-free image recording even at very high reading frequencies. Six different VCProfessional Smart Camera models are now on the market. Resistant to vibrations and shocks, all VC cameras are suitable for use in rugged industrial environments.
