CERAMICS Ceramics predominantly are bonded by very directional bonds between neighboring atoms in expansive lattice structures (as compared to the chains of polymers). Because every atom in a ceramic directionally shares its electrons within its lattice neighborhood through ionic and/or covalent type bonding, ceramics tend not to be tightly packed like metals. Due to strong directional bonding and non-close packed lattices, ceramics tend to have high stiffness, low electrical conductivity, low density, high hardness, low thermal expansion, high melting or dissociation temperatures, electrical resistance, high strength and corrosion resistance. In essence, ceramics tend to be very “non-reactive” or “inert” because their atoms are essentially electrically neutral through strong directional bonds within a very fixed lattice neighborhood – they have no need to “react” with the outside world looking for electrons to satisfy neutrality.

Full ceramic bearings are best suited to extreme operating environments where traditional steel bearings fail. The two main ceramic materials used are Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) and Zirconia (ZrO2). Ceramic is inert, non magnetic, non conductive and capable of withstanding high temperatures up to 1,000C.
Suited for Industrial applications, Medical, Food, Robotics, Chemical industries.
Full ceramic bearings are highly recommended for vacuum environment as well as high heat and corrosive solution applications. Performance racing applications also see great benefit by using full ceramic bearings in certain components. Works well under adverse lubrication conditions.
High radiation, Lightweight, underwater applications make them more attractive to use.
Avail in ZrO2, Si3N4 ceramic materials
Available with PEEK retainer, Teflon retainer or as full complement version.

Conventional all steel bearings limit design potential as technology requirements roll forward at a fantastic rate. Ceramic Hybrid bearings offer a long list of characteristics far superior to that of conventional all-steel bearings.
Ceramic hybrids are a mixture of steel races and ceramics balls. The most common ceramic ball used, because of its hardness, is the Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) ball, although in certain environments either Zirconia (ZrO2) or Alumina Oxide (Al2O3) can be used. Ceramic hybrids offer higher RPMs due to the non-porous ball surface, longer life due to having a greater Rockwell hardness than steel and decreased weight as a result of being 2/3 the weight of steel. Ceramic hybrids are ideally suited to any application looking to achieve increased speed, durability and heat dissipation.
Stainless Steel Series: Stainless Steel resists corrosion in atmospheric, pure water environments as well as most acids, alkaline solutions, and chlorine environments. The easy cleaning ability of stainless makes it the first choice for strict hygiene conditions, such as dental tools, hospitals, kitchens and other food processing envoronments.
Ultra Seals Series: The Ultra Seal is a non-contact, frictionless seal that is placed beneath the metal shields. Say goodbye to dirt, dust and other contaminants without any increased drag. These bearings are maintainence free and lubed for life.
Ceramic Hybrid Series: Ceramic is the new Holy Grail! Its lighter, smoother, stiffer, harder, corrosion resistant, and electrically resistant. These fundamental characteristics allow for a wide range of performance enhancements in bearings.

Full ceramic bearing ZrO2 material has perfect propriety such like suitable for low and high temperatures, high load capacity, corrosion resistance, nonmagnetic insulated and self lubrication. Thus it suit for the specific applications which are not available for bearing steel and hybrid construction ceramic ball bearing materials.

Full ceramic bearing made with Si3N4 have some better performance than ZrO2, the rings and balls made by full ceramic material:Si3N4, as a standard constructure, the cage made by PTFE, generally we also could make the cage with GFRPA66-25,PEEK,PI, Phonemic Textiles Tube ,etc. Compares than the material of ZrO2 ,The SiN4 ceramics bearings could endure heavier load and could be used in higher temperature environment. Also we could offer precision ceramic bearing which generally used in high-speed and high-rigidity spindle.the manufactured clearance could be P4 TO UP grade.
