AMERICAN FABRIC FILTER's technical sales staff gets to choose from dozens of fabrics when they're designing your filters, connectors or other custom products. First, we will talk to you about your requirements. Next, we will make suggestions for materials and designs. Finally, with your input and approval, we will custom manufacture the products quickly and cost-effectively.
In addition to common woven and non-woven textiles, we stock vinyl / rubber-coated fabrics, synthetic / stainless steel screening and a range of snap bands, webbing and hardware. We also work with an extensive range of special order fabrics for applications needing high temperature, chemical resistance, extra strength or air permeability. Many unique fabrics are, or can be treated to shed sticky dust, bleed static electricity or resist burning.
To determine exactly how much fabric you need to attain your desired level of filtration, use our handy air flow to cloth calculator. Remember that your manufacturer's reccomended bag size is most likely smaller than necessary to achieve proper filtration.

ZRCI Refractory Sheet Types RS-Cloth and RS-Tape are fiber reinforced alumina composites in a highly flexible form. They are received dried, when wetted with water or Al-HARD Hardener they become extremely flexible. They can be wrapped into many simple or complex shapes and will stick to themselves. When dried they become an extremely hard, strong, self supporting composite structures. RS-Putty can be used to burnish any surface and provide a very smooth hard finish. After a low temperature bake-out of 300°C (570°F) RS-Cloth And Tape are unaffected by moisture.
They offer the strength, durability, flexibility and versatility required by many high temperature applications up to 1300°C (2373°F). Their high alumina content makes Refractory Sheet RS-Cloth and RS-Tape highly resistant to many environments including Hot Glass handling, molten aluminum and chemical and petroleum processing. After they are baked out they are not affected by water as well as many types of fuel oils. When hardened with AL-Hard Refractory Sheet RS-Cloth and RS-Tape become "rock hard" for greater strength.

Woven ceramic fabrics and woven industrial fabrics from 3M allow engineers and designers with high temperature applications to create new, imaginative solutions for previously impossible problems.
3M™ Nextel™ Woven Ceramic Fabrics are designed to meet the toughest thermal, mechanical and electrical performance requirements. Nextel™ Woven Ceramic Fabrics outperform the useful limits of other high temperature textiles such as aramids, carbon, glass or quartz. Nextel™ woven ceramic fabrics are engineered to perform at continuous temperatures of 2000°F (1093°C) or higher depending on application and composition.
When used in industrial furnaces, Nextel™ Woven Ceramic Fabrics can serve as thermal barriers to separate different temperature zones or the fabrics can serve to prevent particulate shedding.
