The original safety-engineered hoist ring. Pivots 180 degrees and swivels 360 degrees simultaneously to allow lifting from any direction. Safety factor = 5:1. Black oxide finish is standard, with cadmium plating available as a special. Swivel Hoist Rings are also available in 300-series stainless steel, with a load rating equal to 50% of the steel version.

Can be turned by 360°, adjusted to the direction of pull
The RUD lifting ring >VLBG< can be turned by 360°, aligned to the direction of pull, the load ring can be tilted, guaranteeing full WLL in all load directions. Complete with a 100% crack detected hexagon insert socket screw for universal use of tools. The maximum lengths of the screws are adjusted in a way that a material thickness of abt. 8xM (with M8 to M30) or 5xM (with M36 to M48) can be mounted by using a hexagon nut (ISO 7084/7090).

The welding blocks (made of easy weldable material 1.0577+N (St. 52-3) have been provided with distance nabs as gap indication for the weld and stamped with the WLL identification number. The ring latch can be tilted by 180°, made of high-tensile material, 100% crack detected and thus overall loadable.

The welding block (made of easy weldable material 1.0577+N St. 52-3) has been provided with distance nabs as gap indication for the weld and stamped with the WLL identification number. The load bracket can be tilted by 180°, made of high-tensile material, 100% crack detected and thus overall loadable. By a protected spring, the suspension bracket can be maintained in every position; the parts are connected with each other in an unloosable way.

The first generation of lifting- and lashing points with an universal connection for every sling means (hook- and ring assembly, basket chains, round slings, loops, etc), all complete with double-ball bearing for smooth lifting and turning operations. These chains are built in accordance with ANSI B29.24 and are dimensionally identical to Standard Series Drive chains, but also incorporate pins produced from medium carbon alloy steel, through-hardened, to give the chains higher working load capacity and additional resistance to fatigue.
Additionally, these chains are produced with solid rollers for increased performance when loading is high, but speeds are slow. Users of these chains should be aware that wear life may be slightly reduced due to the material and heat treatment of the chain pins.

Grade 80 alloy chain slings are often selected when operating under high temperature or rigged conditions that would abrade or destroy other types of slings. They are flexible, durable, long lasting, ductile, easy to inspect, collapsible for convenient storage, and will adhere securely to the contours of a load. The most advantageous feature of a chain sling is its ability to be repaired/ Nearly any damaged component discovered during an inspection can be repaired and restores to useful condition.
Load Estimation
In multi-leg slings, the angle between the legs is critical. The actual tension on each leg increases when the angle between the legs increases as shown in the diagram opposite. For this reason all general purpose chain slings are given a rating based upon use at 900 inc angle. The included angle between the legs should never exceed 1200.
