Areas of application
Removing sedimenting solids from liquids of low viscosity such as water and emulsions. Installation as independent cleaning unit on fine machining machine tools.
Function
Due to tangential streaming-in of the liquid, a primary swirl develops. The heavier particles in the liquid, due to centrifugal force, are pressed to the wall of the cyclone housing. Due to the tapering of the conical cyclone housing, a secondary swirl develops in the lower area which leads the cleaned coolant lubricant back in opposite direction. The dirt particles, together with a small amount of liquid (approx. 1.5 l/min), are removed through the underflow nozzle. The admission pressure must be approx. 2 bar.

These filters have been designed for by-pass filtration of lubrication and machining fluids on main production circuits.
They are extremely robust and incorporate 1 to 3 mechanically welded housing elements each accommodating 2 filtering cartridges.

The MASTER is a range of high head and high-efficiency gravity filters which use non-woven fabric filters. The MASTER range is able to treat between 200 and 1000 litres of neat oil per minute and from 400 to 2000 litres of water-based emulsions per minute containing both metallic and non-metallic particles. The entire filtration process is completely automatic.

The DARWIN series, patented and available in 4 models, covers throughput range of 600 to 3.000 m³/h. This means that it can cope with widely differing applications, from small lathes to grinding machines or complex machining centres.
Darwin with turbine (T): filtration of air containing soluble oil mist with the presence of heavy particulate.
Darwin with single-centrifuge (M): filtration of air containing mists of soluble and neat oils with presence of small quantities of particulate.

All models in the air filter series can be coupled to special units that provide real and proper superfiltration. Their use permits many permutations and gives performance levels of up to 99.97% efficiency. These special units can be added at any time, even after the installation of the air filter. Guard: pre-filter for oil mist with swarf. Synthesis: electrostatic after-filter for smokes. Clipper: cartdrige after-filter for micro-mist. Oil vapor can be very detrimental to many products and processes including food, pharmaceutical, instrument, hospital and electronics applications. In these cases an oil adsorber should be installed downstream of both lubricated and non-lubricated air compressors as hydrocarbon vapors are found in ambient air and can be concentrated in the compressed air stream. Oil adsorbers use a charge of activated carbon to remove unwanted hydrocarbon vapors. These adsorbers can be used as single tower water vapor adsorbers with a charge of activated alumina.
Stainless steel diffuser and adsorbent support screens for superior corrosion resistance.
Down flow design for less fluidization and longer adsorbent life.
ASME section VIII designed, manufactured and stamped (where applicable) for certified quality assurance
Specially selected carbon and aluminum adsorbents for low pressure drop.

The partial flow filter NF is foreseen for the fine filtration of hydraulic and lubrication circuits additionally to the main filter.
The big filtration area in comparison to the nominal size is the premise for a high dirt-retaining capacity even in case of small filterfineness.
Filter elements as fine as 5 µm(c) are available; finer filter elements on request.
To protect the filter elements and the filter housing equipment with by-pass valves is foreseen. Element change without tools is
possible. After release of the straining screw and removal of the cover the elements are accessible and could be changed. The filter
elements were delivered completely inclusive seals. Cleaning of the elements not possible therefore the user should have enough
spare elements on stock.
