The Varian 400 GC Series is a new family of high performance gas chromatographs and application specific analysis solutions that offer faster separations and increased confidence in results for the broadest range of GC analysis needs possible. The family consists of two GC models and an associated range of analyzers and solutions designed for both standard analysis needs as well as user specified.
The 450-GC with its multi-channel (3) design, a broad array of available inlets and detectors and both standard and customizable gas and liquid valve systems to choose from provides the level of flexibility needed to be able to adapt to ever changing needs as necessary. As such, it is Varian’s premiere GC.
The 430-GC offers the same outstanding performance as the 450-GC but in a diminutive single channel saving package. It occupies about ˝ the bench space of a multi-channel GC helping you maintain a less cluttered workspace. The single channel design and operational simplicity render it the preferred choice for dedicated, routine use.

Hypersil GOLD columns are a new LC and LC/MS column offering excellent peak shape. Based on highly pure silica, Hypersil GOLD columns provide symmetrical peaks, even when analyzing compounds that give notoriously poor peak shape on traditional C18 or L1 chemistries.
Rugged and robust manufacturing processes coupled with advanced column packing technologies produce highly efficient, reliable Hypersil GOLD columns for applications where resolution between compounds closely related in structure is paramount. Discrimination between such species is vital in drug analyses where active constituents and other trace components must be rigorously monitored. With L1 retention and selectivity, existing L1 methodologies are easily upgraded to Hypersil GOLD columns with minimal loss of time, but with an impressive gain in peak shape and sensitivity.
The 3µm and 5µm Hypersil GOLD columns are available in both unique and conventional formats, including standard analytical columns, KAPPA capillary columns, DASH high-throughput LC/MS columns, as well as several guard formats.
