Description
Special technical features of dead-tank design. The distinguishing feature of dead-tank technology is that the interrupter chamber is accommodated in an earthed metal housing. With this arrangement the SF6 gas filling insulates the high voltage live parts of the contact assembly from the housing. Outdoor bushings connect the interrupter chamber with the high-voltage terminals.

|
Description
Special technical features of live-tank design: On live-tank circuit-breakers, the interrupter chamber is arranged in the insulator which can be either porcelain or of a composite material, and is at high potential; with the voltage level determining the length of the insulators for the interrupter chamber and the insulator column.

The majority of distribution systems are designed to an ultimate circuit rating (lcu). An lcu rated MCCB provides the optimum protection in terms of safe and economical selection.
Certain applications may require protection wich is designed to the more onerous service short circuit rating (lcu).
Terasaki's TemBreak Plus range can provide a wide choice of MCCBs with superior lcs ratings up to 85kA at 440V AC.
lcu=o-co 2 full short circuits
lcs=o-co-co 3 full short circuit
All TemBreak Plugin and drawout MCCBs are fitted with a safety trip as standard. If an attempt is made to remove an MCCB while ON it will automatically trip.
The neutral pole of all TemBreak MCCBs are of early make / late break design. This eliminates the risk of abnormal line to neutral voltages which may damage sensitive electronic equipment.
TemBreak MCCBs from 125AF to 1600AF are suitable for isolation as defined by IEC 947-2. Positive Contact Indication (PCI) is achieved via the toggle mechanism. Padlocks can only be installed if the contacts are fully open or closed.

The TemBreak series offers the models of the 800A to 1600A frames with the breaking capacity up to 125 kA, and this series consists of thermal adjustable type and electronic type that allows you to select the most suitable breaker for your system
Features of the TemBreak Electronic Moulded Case Circuit Breaker:
- Long time delay trip, short time delay trip, and instantaneous trip are available as standard.
- All of long time delay trip, short time delay trip, pretrip alarm, and ground fault trip can be adjusted. The rated current can be adjusted in a range between 50% and 100%. For short time delay trip, ramp characteristics can be selected with the switch to enable selective coordination with lower breakers and fuses.
- The multi-protective device uses the r.m.s. value control. It samples peak current every 0.5msec. to calculate a root-mean-square value. Therefore, harmonics up to 19 th harmonic are accurately detected at 50 Hz to prevent any malfunction from occurring due to harmonics.

ITF ultrasonic devices are the result of many years of tests cooperating with electronic experts and have got all the advantages which up-to-dated technology can offer nowadays.
Particularly:
• Weight and volume reduction so to permit one single-card execution for any generator.
• Wide range of controls and safety features in compliance with European Standards.
• DEGAS feature reducing time taken to get baths degassing.
• Microprocessor used to manage output and variation, control and self-diagnostics. This also permits to get remote diagnostics since there is the opportunity of a modem connection, the opportunity to set output power to supply transducers of different power and the opportunity to drive more transducers with one generator.
