SEL-2407 Satellite-Syronized Clock - Precise Time in Harsh Environments
The role of satellite clocks has grown from basic sequence-of-event and fault recorder time referencing to mission-critical roles such as synchrophasor measurement and detailed event analysis. These applications require that satellite clocks meet the same environmental standards and be as reliable as the protective relays and other high-reliability devices with which these clocks are used.
Apply in harsh substation environments. Meets IEEE C37.90 and IEC 60255 protective relay surge and environmental standards. Universal power supply operates from 18-300 Vdc and 85-264 Vac.
Apply for synchrophasor, relay event correlation,m and other high-accuracy timing needs. Provides demodulated IRIG -B time code at six outputs for driving numerous point and distributed applications. |

HM-02N Digital Clock
The HM-02N is the solution if you want to display time in enterprise and to synchronize (by broadcast) all terminals LBC-02 and/or with the server (Windows, AS/400, Linux, Unix...). The 4" digit height red colour can be readily visible up to two hundred feet. Can also become a meter (increment) with a dry contact relay such as a switch. Other possibilities such as display machines numbers, machines speed, percentage (%), performances, production status, rejected material number, etc. If desired, you can use only the 2 left and 2 right digits on the display (deactivate the 2 center digits) to allow comparisons like different information on the display.
Facts:
In clock mode, the HM-02N can display exact time (hour) with minutes and seconds or hour and minutes only. The clock can be synchronized with the server via a simple command. In display mode, you can program up to 6 digits via a simple command. Available in Ethernet TCP/IP, RS-422M or RS-232. A sealed model is also offered for harsh environments. The stainless steel casing (24 7/8" X 3" X 9 5/8") of the HM-02N has a yellow membrane. An internal relay may be used to connect a bell or other peripherals that can be activated from a distance via a simple command. |

The RTC is a time registering device to keep track of time in industrial or PC application. It is able to keep time even when the device is turned off. The RTC is connected to a small battery (which usually has a long lifespan, 5 or more years). Specifically, the RTC maintains the second, minute, hour, day, year, and century for the system.
The RTC is incorporated into the same chip as the computer's CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor). The RTC goes into action when the system is started. During the start-up process, the basic input/output system checks the RTC for the current time and passes that information along to the operating system's clock. The operating system synchronizes its own clock to match the date and time given to it by the RTC. After that, the operating system uses its clock to measure time until the system is shut down.
