Rotary solenoids perform an angle limiting rotary movement between two end positions. We supply these solenoids in cylindrical or square design.
90 % of our solenoids are made to customer’s specifications. Please do not hesitate to contact us concerning any solenoid specific questions.
|
|
DC single direction linear solenoids are the universal, inexpensive
answer for precision engineering and industrial applications as
well as for locking/latching requirements.
They can be installed in any position. Push or pull actuation is
possible. However, the force transfer should be in the axial direction
only; lateral loads increase the wear on the bearings.
Specifications with or without return spring possible. Optionally monostable or bistable operation method possible.
Standard voltage: 24 V DC/ 205 V DC
Standard duty cycle: 100 %
Stroke length: 3 - 30 mm

Made according to the following norms: DIN VDE0580, NFC79300 y UNE-EN 60204-1..
Bistable solenoid is a simple effect product, the stroke from the initial position (s) to the end is made by a direct or retified electrical polarized signal. To return to the initial position it is necessary to send an electrical signal of inverse polarity (direct or alternating) equal to the nominal voltage, this signal will only vary the force of the magnet, it will not produce any returning or repulsion force. To make the plunger return to its initial position it is necessary to use external forces such as a spring.
CE-This product is made according to the 73/23/CEE Low Voltage European Guideline about electrical appliance for certain limits of voltage and modification 93/68/CEE. The fulfilment of the 89/336 CEE (electromagnetic compatibility) norms must be assured by the user.

DESCRIPTION:
The attraction and the lifting of the magnetic pieces is obtained by energising the coil inside the electromagnet.
When the energising stops the piece is removed.
When operating with loads the corresponding security rules must be respected by the user.
Options: Clamping screw for VEM25 and higher connector for VEM-65 and higher.
- NAFSA, reserves any possibility of modification.

For over 40 years, The Ogallala Electronics Division of Arnold has manufactured electromagnets (shaped field magnets) made of thin-gauge copper or aluminum foils as well as the more economical wire wound type. The shaped field magnet, sometimes referred to as a solenoid, approaches the ideal for flexibility in generating magnetic fields so desirable for klystron, TWT, ion implantation, chemical etching, chemical dispersion, MRI and other wave guide applications.
Ogallala Electronics manufactures a wide variety of custom design electromagnets which generate uniform or proportioned magnetic field shapes and with a wide range of magnetic field intensities. These electromagnets are either made up of tape wound foil wafers or built up from coils of wire. In the tape wound electromagnets, each wafer is electrically controlled to the precise field strength desired. The resultant field distribution may be uniform or it may have peaks, plateaus and valleys along the axial length of the electromagnet as dictated by the customer requirement. When a specific field shape is desired, the shaped field electromagnet can be designed to that configuration with great precision. Wafers may be of various widths within the electromagnet and they can be made interchangeable. Nominal I.D. and O.D. may be selected to meet application size requirements.
Special designs are available which utilize chilled oil or liquid nitrogen to allow higher than normal current, generating up to 200% greater field intensity than an uncooled design.

DICTATOR provides complete hold open systems for hazardous areas
They comprise explosion-proof smoke and heat detectors, door operators and the electromagnets. They comply with the requirements for group II products and can be installed in all zone 1 and 2 areas (according to VDE 0165). The explosion proof magnets are encapsulated (EEX m). Two series are available: with ex-proof connection box or with connection cable. The standard length of the cable is 2 m, but it can be delivered in the length required on site. The holding force of the magnets is either 550 N or 145N. The integrated release pin eliminates any remanence after switching off the power supply of the magnets, ensuring that the magnets always releases the door. All ex-proof magnets are equipped with diodes and polarity protection.
The DICTATOR ex-proof magnets have been tested both according to EN 1155:2005 for hold-open systems and the ATEX directive by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt Braunschweig (certificates PTB 03 ATEX 2174 X and PTB 03 ATEX N060).
In addition to the ex-proof magnets DICTATOR also provides a large range of electromagnets for hold-open systems, that comply with the EN 1155:2005 and are approved for the use in hold-open systems.

Linear Solenoids and Rotary Solenoids
Specializing in Special
We Fit Our Product to Your System
We have all been there. The new design is perfect with one exception. The "off the shelf" product just won't cut it. In solenoid terms, it can be for a number of reasons. The force is too low. The mounting or interface won't work. The voltage range is incorrect. Or maybe the plating or materials are insufficient for the environment. This is where your special needs demand a special product. GW Lisk makes custom solenoids to meet your specific needs.
The concept is simple. A coil of copper magnet wire is placed inside a steel housing with end iron and a steel armature. An electrical current is applied to the coil and a magnetic field is created, moving the armature to close a preset air gap. With varied geometry, that linear force can be turned into a rotational torque. That is where the simple ends and the customization begins.

DESCRIPTION:
In the reversible linear solenoid the stroke is made by electromagnetic forces. The end of the stroke in one sense is the beginning in the other.
(Made according to the German norm VDE0580 and the French NFC79300).
The terms used are according to ETN technical explanations. The magnetic force values (FM) depending on the stroke are obtained in the following conditions: Ambient temperature = 35º C Coil stabilized to its work tempearture. Supply voltage 90% of the standard. Solenoid in horizontal position The effective force is obtained of the magnetic force (FM), adding or substracting the weight of the core.
- When the solenoid pulls upwards: Effective force = Magnetic force - weight of the core
- When the solenoid pulls downwards: Effective force = Magnetic force + weight of the core
- When the solenoid pulls in horizontal position: Effective force = Magnetic Force
Duty cycle calcule (ED%) = ( Energised time/ energised time+ off time) x 100
