We have production facilities to manufacture a large range of compression springs, either parallel or conical, with or without ground ends.
It will always be of help to know where a spring is designed to fit. What are the sizes of the hole or shaft?

Crest-to-Crest Wave Springs can replace conventional round wire springs while occupying only half the space. Crest-to-Crest Springs offer the same force and deflection as standard coil springs.
Crest-to-Crest springs are stocked in a wide variety of loads and deflections; standard parts are available from 3/8” to 16”. Special designs can be from .200” to 90”; specials are affordable because of Smalley’s No-Tooling-Cost™ process.

Patented drawn spring steel wire in compliance with EN 10270 part 1 type DH for all wire diameters up to 1.9 mm. For diameters between 2.0 and 12.0 mm type SH will be used (AMS 5112 / BS 5216-75). Our stainless steel springs are manufactured using spring steel wire material no.1.4310 in compliance with EN 10270 part 3 (AISI 302 / BS 301S21). The tolerances of the wire diameters comply with DIN 2076.

Proven and Reliable
Gas springs are a proven and reliable method of counterbalancing large covers and objects. They offer ideal capabilities for safely lifting, lowering and positioning heavy or cumbersome objects. More versatile than mechanical springs, gas springs offer your product the advantages of speed-controlled dampening, cushioned end motion, simple mounting, compact size, flat force curve, and a wide range of available forces.
Operating principle of a gas spring
The gas spring is a hydropneumatic adjusting element, consisting of a pressure tube, a piston rod with piston and appropriate connection fittings. It is filled with compressed nitrogen, which acts with equal pressure on differently dimensioned cross-sectional areas of the piston. This produces a force in the extension direction. This extension force can be exactly defined within physical limits through the appropriate selection of the filling pressure.
