PROFIBUS DP for LabVIEW
The COMSOFT PROFIBUS VISA Driver equips National Instrument's LabVIEW with a real-time PROFIBUS-DP connection providing a powerful extension of the application range in the test and automation sector.
The package including hardware and software is based on the COMSOFT DF PROFI II board, available in PCI, PCIe, CompactPCI and PC104+ format. These different formats as well as the real-time VISA driver concept can be integrated in different LabVIEW systems and platform combinations.
An installation in a classical PC system under LabVIEW for Windows is just as possible as in a real-time PXI system under LabVIEW RT, e.g. as a high performance PAC system for time-critical test applications or industrial automation applications.
The COMSOFT PROFIBUS VISA Driver supports DP Master and DP Slave mode. This allows data exchange with any DP Slaves as well as the integration of a complete LabVIEW system as DP Slave in an already existing PROFIBUS DP network.
The PROFIBUS DP process and diagnostic data can be accessed in a simple manner. The board initialization and the data handling are demonstrated in detailed example VIs, which also can be used for the immediate start-up of the PROFIBUS.
In addition to the standard VI interface, LabVIEW express VIs are available providing a plug and play integration of the PROFIBUS DP process and diagnostic data into the application.

With BL ident the user is free to choose interface modules in IP20 or IP67.
Interface modules with PROFINET-DP (DPV0 and DPV1), DeviceNet, Ethernet/Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/Profinet and Ethernet/IP with up to 8 channels are available.
Programmable gateways enable decentral and fast signal processing.
The modular concept allows the user to add input and output modules to the interface at a later stage.
All channels operate in parallel allowing data to be transmitted simultaneously.
The diagnostics for the fieldbus, the supply voltage and the individual channels is carried out via LEDs and complemented by fieldbus-specific diagnostic messages.
Standard function modules are available for simple integration in the control and fieldbus environments.
The application of the BL ident simple module (BL20-2RFID-S, BL67-2RFID-S) is also possible. This way the communication is built on the basis of an 8-byte I/O module. The programming effort is reduced considerably. The user has the freedom to link BL ident to all standard control systems without using function modules.

DF PROFI II PCI/PCIe/CPCI/PC104+
High performance PROFIBUS DP/DPV1 interface
The DF PROFI II is a high performant PROFIBUS DP/DPV1 board of the newest generation and is available as PCI, PCIe, CompactPCI and PC104+ board. The DF PROFI II PCI interface supports 5V and 3.3V 32 Bit PCI slots, so it can be used in server pcs and workstations without problems. Beside the standard DP/DPV1 PROFIBUS services the board implements useful additional options.
The implemented hardware watchdog allows the electrical switch off of the PROFIBUS interface, that allows the board to be used in redundant DP Master concepts with 2 pc systems.
The process image contains except I/O data and status information a relative time stamp with millisecond resolution.
The DF PROFI II board needs for the data exchange of the process image only round about 1 ms with common I/O data sizes up to 3 Kbytes and stores the PROFIBUS configuration data in a failsafe flash memory.
For the compilation of the PROFIBUS configuration a very powerful and comfortable tool is available. The DF PROFI II board supports beside the popular operating systems Windows 2000/XP and Linux (SUSE, Redhat, Fedora) real-time operating systems like LINUX RT and LabVIEW RT.

Overview
Moxa's new CP-602U-I CAN (Controller Area Network) interface board supports the Universal PCI interface. As a stand-alone CAN controller, the CP-602U-I is a cost-effective solution that provides two active CAN controllers with a DB9 connector on the same board. The CP-602U-I CAN interface board uses the NXP SJA1000 and transceiver PCA82C251, which provides the bus arbitration and error detection. As a Universal PCI card, PBpro PCI is compatible with both the 5 V signal levels of traditional PCs and the 3.3 V signals used primarily in modern server PCs. The small form factor of the one-channel card means it can also be used in compact "low-profile" systems.
The one-channel PBpro PC/104plus card is particularly suited to use in compact industrial computer systems in the PC/104 format. In keeping with the development of this standard, the card uses Universal PCI as the interface to the CPU board. The card also has an ISA interface which is passively passed on to the many peripheral cards which still require it.
All of the cards mentioned work as a PROFIBUS master or slave and support DP-V0, DP-V1 and DP-V2. Furthermore, any number of other PROFIBUS applications can be realized through an FDL interface. The package includes drivers for Windows XP and 2000. Other operating system drivers are currently in preparation.

Description
CAN-Bus PCI-Card with open source Linux driver
The CANnes card is a PCI card which provides a simple, easy to use CAN interface. It is equipped with a male and a female 9 pin Sub-D connector with standard CAN pin assignments. CAN bit rates between 10 and 1000 kBit/s (1MBit/s) are possible. The industry standard CAN controller SJA1000 is used together with the CAN bus driver 82C250 and optical isolation between the CAN controller and the CAN bus driver. A 120 ohms termination resistor is also provided. This resistor can be switched on and off either by a software controlled relay. Device drivers and function libraries are provided for the Windows (98/ME/2000 and NT4) operating systems and also for the Linux operating system. The CANnes cards is CE-approved and also meets FCC specifications. It can be used with every PC which is equipped with PCI slots fulfilling at least the PCI 2.1 standard.

The models ship with a number of different video inputs. Some models are available for low profile PC cases. The PCIe-DIO24 is a 24-channel digital I/O board with selectable 3.3 V or 5 V logic levels for PCI Express bus compatible computers. The 24 bits function as an 8-bit Port A, an 8-bit Port B, and an 8-bit Port C, which may be further divided into two 4-bit ports (Port C-HI and Port C-LO).
There is a 10 kilohm pull-up/pull-down resistor network associated with each digital port. Their direction is software selectable and stored on the board, so the user can use the board in a different PC without running configuration software: simply set the board number in InstaCal.
The PCIe-DIO24 is connector and software compatible with Measurement Computing's highly popular PCI-based PCI-DIO24 and ISA-based CIO-DIO24 boards, making migration from the ISA or PCI bus about as simple as unplugging the digital I/O cable’s 37-pin connector from the old board and plugging it into the new one. The PCIe-DIO24 is also supported by the same wide variety of external relay and solid state I/O module racks.
The PCIe-DIO24 is completely plug-and-play. There are no switches, or jumpers on the board. All board addresses, interrupt channels, etc. are set by your computer's plug-and-play software.
