Winchester Electronics' MetCon-2 line of 2mm Hard Metric connectors is designed to meet the requirements of IEC1076-4-101. MetCon-2 connectors provide a high-density, high-performance, and cost-effective board-to-board interconnect system. Primary applications include telecommunications, computer, storage, test and measurement, and industrial automation industries. MetCon-2 style connectors are also specified in industry-standard open architectures including CompactPCI and VME64x. CompactPCI specifications are controlled and managed by PICMG, a consortium of over 650 member companies that work to maintain and improve CompactPCI specifications.
CPCI Connectors
The Winchester MetCon-2 product line consists of 9 different module styles, available in right-angle sockets and vertical pin headers with press-fit terminations. Each module provides 5 rows of signal contacts and 2 rows of optional ground contacts. Pin headers are available with 12 different contact options - 3 mating lengths on the primary side of the connector, each available in 4 different tail lengths. Pin contact tail lengths include a 3.7mm press-fit tail for "feed-to" applications and 13mm, 14.5mm and 16.0mm extended tails for "rear plug-up" applications. This variety provides design engineers with the versatility to differentiate signal, power, and ground on both mating sides of the headers, which is necessary for "hot-swap" applications.

The majority of components connected to a backplane are connected using solderless pressfit technology. Two-row power taps featuring either an elastic pressfit zone or soldering termination were developed by ERNI for connecting power supply lines. Cable plugs or terminal sockets can be optionally used for cable termination.
The power taps can either be connected via screw or plug-type terminals with cable lugs or flat terminal sockets. For versions featuring 6 pins, the max. current is 30A at 20°C ambient temperature. Versions featuring 10 pins can withstand 40A at 20°C.

Material Options - standard materials are of high-grade steel with outer housings zinc-plated for standard corrosion resistance - we also offer 3 further levels of resistance to corrosion to handle the most difficult working environments:
1. Stainless steel balls only.
(Add suffix 'A' to part number)
2. Arduous conditions - specially treated steel housing with stainless
steel load-bearing parts. (Add suffix 'Z' to part number)
3. All stainless steel construction.
(Add suffix 'SS' to part number)
Note: Non-marking Nylon 66, Acetal or Phenolic Resin balls are
available, together with other special order materials, upon request.

Balls to flange. The embedding of the balls in the support allows a weak going beyond compared to the plan of fixing.
Fixing by screw, rivets or bolts Balls Standard 31,35,36 and 38 or fast fixing by springs Standard Ball 33.
Recommended for the handling of the loads to flexible base of sole type of containers or aluminum pallets.

Shaft with Casing & Fittings
S.S. White Motor couplings come in 2 types of assemblies - Oilite Bearings Assemblies and Ball Bearings Assemblies. Both Oilite and Ball Bearings Assemblies are available in ten (10) different diameter sizes: .130, .150, .187, .250, .312, .375, .500, .625, .750, and 1.000. Casing is usually necessary for shaft lengths that exceed 8 inches. Also, casing is recommended when the environment is dirty, dusty, or corrosive or when the shafts are run at high speeds in exposed areas where injury can occur. Refer to the chart below to find specifics on each assembly diameter.

IMP57 is a fundamental accessory for verifier and engineer to perform, connected with GSC5x, SIRIUS 89, Macrotest 5035, Genius 5080E or Combitest 2019, the Loop/Line impedance and the prospective short circuit current evaluation on a distribution circuit. The high value of test current generated (max 200A) allows quick and accurate measurement (0,1mOhm resolution) also close to power transformer. IMP57 consists in a practical and strong plastic suitcase, it haven't any display and can be connected by RS-232 to the above meters (called Master) to read the measurement results. With 4-wire measurement method the results aren't affected by test leads and it's no necessary perform any preliminary calibration.
