DESCRIPTION:
Compressed air drain trap with inbuilt strainer, in full stainless steel construction suitable for draining light moisture loads from air lines.
FEATURES:
Complete stainless steel construction ensures better mechanical and corrosion resistance properties. The disc and seat are hardened by a special induction hardening process with seat harder than disc, to withstand continuous, prolonged
operation.
Specially designed disc makes the trap operate periodically, effectively discharging liquid immediately as it accumulates, even in operating conditions that are characterized by heavy oil contamination.

It is globally recognised that condensate from oil-injected compressors is an oil-water emulsion, classified as oil residue and must not be drained into the sewage system nor into the environment. Legislation, worldwide, has become more and more stringent as to the disposal of this oily waste water.
With the introduction of the OSM 500 and 900 oil-water separators, with the latest filter membrane technology, Atlas Copco offers a most cost effective, safe, environmentally friendly and simple system to handle condensate from oil-injected compressors, fully in compliance with governmental regulations.

The range of EWD electronically controlled condensate drains is synonymous with safe, dependable and economical condensate management.
The intelligent drain function monitors condensate build-up with liquid level sensors and evacuates the condensate only when necessary, thus avoiding wastage of compressed air and giving considerable energy savings.
The EWD drain device offers security and confidence, enabling you to solve all condensate discharge problems even with heavily contaminated systems.
A wide range of different EWD drains is available for oil contaminated condensate and may also be provided with additional hard coating for use with oil-free and aggressive condensate.

Kaeser's Eco-Drain Series of electronic condensate drain traps efficiently eliminate moisture from the compressed air system. They are ideally suited for equipment such as dryers and filters. The capacitance sensor technology ensures that only condensate is released - not valuable compressed air.
Important features and advantages:
Reliable condensate removal in a variety of industrial and commercial environments
Wear-free, capacitance level sensor
Electronically controlled diaphragm valve releases condensate not compressed air
Patented valve technology protects internal components from contamination even in harsh environments
Simple installation and maintenance

Float Traps
Due to the fact they have continuous discharge, they are the best choice to remove condensate from equipment which use steam, such as tanks, coils, heat exchangers, digesters, dryers, cylinders and other.
They are also an excellent choice to drain humidity from compressed air lines in which there is no oil excess.
Manufactured with bodies and cover in nodular iron and cast steel with stainless steel internals.
They respond to pressures of up to 17.6 kgf/cm2 and temperatures of 300oC (nodular iron) and pressures up to 32 kgf/cm2 and temperatures up to 400oC (cast steel).
They are manufactured in sizes from 1/2" up to 6" with screwed connections BSP or NPT and flanged connections #125, #250, #150 and #300.
All models are supplied with a thermostatic air eliminator (EAR), which may be replaced or accompanied of steam lock releaser (EVP) required when used in drying cylinder, digester axis and other equipment.
Options include high-capacity steam traps, which are widely used in sugar mills.
|
|
DESCRIPTION:
Inverted bucket steam trap with all stainless steel internals. Best suited for equipment drains with medium to heavy condensate loads. Intermittent operation.
FEATURES:
The inverted bucket arrangement operates on the density difference between steam and water, giving a cyclic operation for discharge of the accumulated condensate.
High condensate handling capacities even at low pressures, permit the use of small trap sizes to suit many applications.
The valve and valve seat are hardened by a special induction hardening process to withstand continuous, prolonged operation.
Perfect shut-off, no steam loss.

Automatic valves for the discharge of condensate without discharging steam.
Operating Pressure Range: Vacuum - 3700 psig
Operating Temperature Range: 32 - 1022 °F
A steam trap is a kind of automatic valve that discharges condensate generated during processes and in steam transport lines, without allowing the discharge of any steam. Steam trap operation principles can be roughly divided into three categories. TLV manufactures all three of these categories.
An extensive product line-up makes it possible to select the optimal product to suit the objective or application.
Each trap offers the highest level of energy conservation in its class.
Much consideration is given to the aspect of maintenance, as evidenced by designs that include the unitization of parts, interchangeable parts, and utilization of re-useable PTFE gaskets.

Thermodynamic Steam Traps
Recommended to remove condensate from general pipelines of steam distribution and tracing lines. They can also be used to remove humidity from compressed air lines.
They are manufactured with stainless steel for pressures up to 42 kgf/cm2 and chrome steel for pressures up to 62 kgf/cm2. In both cases, maximum temperature is 450oC.
They are manufactured in sizes from 3/8" to 1" with screwed connection BSP or NPT, for SW or BW welds and flanged connections #150, #300 and #600.
They can be supplied with filter and drain valve incorporated.
In case of installation under bad weather conditions, it is advisable to use an aluminum protection cover
